  1. I find that I think that I want something like a cheeseburger but when I get it, I end up wasting it because like someone else said, the effort to chew it just becomes too much. I make sure that I count my calorie intake so that way if I do splurge then I am able to balance it and not go over. The key is definitely balance. It is weird, I haven't had my first fill and the weight is coming off, I had to adapt to a few changes but none that put me in misery. I have more energy than I thought possible so that in itself motivates me to stay on the right track.
  2. thanks you all for the encouragement and wonderful responses. tomorrow is the day and i am so excited about the new life that i am about to embark on. can anyone tell me what they have eaten after the surgery? Meshia
  3. Hello Lapband Friends, My name is Meshia and I will be banded on the 14th. I am excited and a little nervous which I assume is to be expected. I have struggled with being overweight for as long as I can remember. My paternal side of the family are all obese. That is my fear and motivation to get the band. I am a foster mother of two beautiful little girls and I want to be around for them for a long time. Meshia:whoo:
