I am hoping to have surgery in late November or early December, I am a grandma to 8 young grand kids and don't wish to feel miserable during the holidays. Doing without food or on preop liquid diet of no concern to me. However wanting to know if it would be better to wait till after the holidays or about how long after surgery until you feel good enough to be up and about. I am 55 this month and am very eager to move forward to my surgery but not ruin holidays for my grand babies. I am through all things required for insurance approval and have my appointment on November 19th when I know dates will be offered. Please any and all advice welcome and appreciated!

Thanks. For the advice. I am 55. 5'2" /245. I know age is also a factor. I realize the commitment I'm making and I know it may be difficult along the way. But what r your stats. Would you still make the same choice today if knowing what you do?

How do I join this group. I'm 55 next week. I'm scheduled for preop appointment on November 19 th to get my sleeve surgery date. I'm super excited. But feel filling a group in my age group would be most beneficial.

Sleeving I'm so happy for you. Can't wait to hear your loss amount!!! Jamie, I'm so glad things are getting easier for you too. You both give me hope, I was on a feed yesterday with many weeks and even months after just making it sound so bad. I know everyone heals different but love to know what things you each did since surgery.

My surgery should be December, I'm getting the sleeve and will be on two week liquid diet prior. I have my appointment to set the date on November 19th. Super excited!!!!
