  1. hello. I am 5 months post-op and have been experiencing sharp pirecing pains in the port area. It sometimes hurts if I sit or bend in a certain direction. Is it from doing crunches at the gym? Could I have damaged it? I know it is sewn in but has anyone else experienced this? It feels like a knife stabbing me for a brief second or two. I am calling the doc today.
  2. Hello all. My name is Christine . I live on Long Island, New York and was banded on November 16 also. I have lost about 18 lbs. I am now on soft foods for 3 weeks. I am supposed to eat 6 small soft meals a day. I was wondering what a daily menu is for you. Please share. I am hungry and I think I eat way toooo fast. I also have chosen to eat a few bad foods and need to go back on track. My shoulder pain is gone and boy did that hurt! another question.. I plan on going back to teh gym (Curves) ,,, anyone else going back? That seems the only way i can lose weight is to exercise at least 4 times a week. Lets help each other get through this.
  3. Hello all! May name is Christine. I live on Long Island, New York & I was banded on November 16. For about 13 days after surgery I was NEVER Hungry(I thought that it was great and lost 18 lbs.) And now i am always hungry! I thought I was the only one that felt this way! Thank God for this posting! My fill date or if I need one (I will also demand one) is december 28th. I so badly want this to work. I hope we can chat here often so we can help all of us get through this together. I was told that I should have 6 small meals per day. I am supposed to be on soft foods but have taken a few bites of pizza the other day, a few sips of a cholocate shake and have felt sooo guilty! I know I am fighting an addiction and I should take it day by day but it is so hard! I am guilty of eating too fast and need to try to eat slower. What do u all do to eat slower? Can you please share what a daily menu is for this stage? Thanks! I am going back to the gym this week so maybe that will help. Take care all and please keep in touch.
  4. Hello all. I was banded on November 16. I am now on mushies too. I have tried slices of very thin roast beef and it went down well. I probably shoudnt have had that, right? I need help with portion control. How do u work that out? Are u eating 6 small meals a day? Please give me an idea of ur daily plan. I have not been so good. I even ate a few bites of pizza and feel soo guilty. But I am taking it day by day. I need some support. One good thing is that I am heading back to the gym this week. Thanks! ~Christine in NY
