OK.... I was given my first fill last Friday...... I am getting a little worried. The Dr. put 3cc in my band and I have to be honest when I say...... I am feeling barley ANY restriction. My band only holds 9cc......I going to try and stay positive....... I know from reading all of the other threads that people are having the same issue as myself! I secretly in the back of my mind wonder if I should have had the bypass....but GOD that is a scary surgery. I was reading the Johnson & Johnson website (the REALIZE band) and they said most feel good restriction around 4cc. Gosh w/ the band only holding 9cc.....4cc is more than half way and I have 180lbs to loose! AHHHHHHHHH! Thanks for listening. I LOVE THIS FORUM!

Thanks! Your fill will go great! I am telling you I didn't even feel it (the needle) I am much larger than you, but I am telling you it didn't hurt. Don't be nervous....be excited. I will definitely let you know if I feel restriction etc..... That is what I am nervous about. Good luck Wed. you will be fine!

Hi Guys!!! Well yesterday was the big day.... I had my first fill under flora. It didn't hurt a bit and it was really interesting to see the band in my stomach under x-ray etc... I am on liquid for one more day only and then back to solids..... I am praying I will feel restriction. I have been struggling for a month now just trying not to gain any weight back I lost. I know from some of the threads I have read that it can take a couple of fills before people start to see results. This is going to be on heck of a journey! By the way my dr.... Dr. Keith Kim put 3cc in my band yesterday...... has anyone ever had there band completely filled?

Thanks.......I don't feel so bad now! I do think I healed quite quickly from surgery....let's just hope I didn't move my band etc.... Thanks!

Hi to everyone!!! OK...I was banded on Dec 19th - I am so happy I did it....... However is/did anyone else 7-10 days after their surgery EAT LIKE CRAZY????? I feel like I have no restriction....I am eating out of control....I am scared I have moved my band, I feel like I have had nothing surgically done. I went to a center of excellence and had a WONDERFUL doctor, nutrition classes, support, etc... I have lost 50 lbs (mostly from liquid diet pre-op) and am doing all I can just to NOT gain before my first fill. I feel like a complete failure because I have not/did not stick to the diet prescribed by the nutritionist/doctor. Is anyone out there like ME????? I really thought I had my food addiction under control before I went into surgery.... I guess I don't???? ANY SUGGESTIONS/COMMENTS much appreciated!

Thanks Guys!!!! I just thought there was something wrong w/ me! I didn't realize the gas could last this long!!!!! I am only three days out from surgery, but I feel great except for the GAS....and if I really think about it....I don't know if it's constipation or just GAS! Man the gas is wicked. I have come this far, so I can wait it out!!!! THANKS for all your help. Ps.... how do you get the weight loss tracker????

OK....thanks for all the suggestions for constipation!!! I however still have GAS, so bad that it's still in my chest area. How long does this take to go away? Any suggestions? I am desperate!!!! Thanks for all you answers...this place is awesome!

How long did it take all of your gas to go away? It is EVERYWHERE still.... I am miserable! Any suggestions?

Hi Guys! Well I got banded on Wednesday! I was super excited! I am wondering if this is normal and will go away...... I am SOOOOO constipated and I can't get anything down....I am just doing liquid, but it's like my body won't let me put anything but a teaspoon in! How am I supposed to get nourishment? Is this normal?

Did you use this for your pre-op diet? thanks
