My name is KristaJ and i suffer from insulin resistance from pcos (polycystic ovarian syndrome), sciatica, and scoliosis.
I am 5'10 and at my heaviest weight weighed 315 pounds. Oh i almost forgot, i'm only 21 😊. My story begins as a child because I've been morbidly obest my whole life. I've also tried everything to lose the weight on my own and i did but it would come back with avengence. I always developed fast and got everything early but still had complications with my weight. Over time with in the last 3 years, i have developed so many complications in my body i could cry. Dealing with pcos is a job by itself because it produce more sugar from your pancreas causing you to eat more. V-V just my luck right? I found out the hard way that i had it from bleeding for almost 3 months straight and then a year later having a D&C scraping done because i had cancerous tumors on my uterus. That's what pushed me so hard to get the bypass. I was tired of pain, emotional eating and being tired. In February of 2014 i went for my first meeting and on October 20th 2014 i got the gastric bypass surgery. Although i'm fresh out of recovery i feel like its a new beginning. I started my weight loss journey at 315, then for pre op i weighed in at 283. I haven't been on a scale since then but i will Nov 12th for my post op first appointment. As for my problems, i got my period the week of surgery but everything is finally normalizing. What hate most is really all the controll fear of not knowing what i will look like after sugery or if the surgery will be successful. When you let go and let God, everything else dose not matter.
