Hello im going to have my surgery aug 12th and i have been seeing alot of post's about being dehydrated after surgery how do u know when ur dehydrated.What do u do to not get dehydrated

roseluv3 how did u make ur protein shakes did u use water i drink carnation instant breakfast shake every morning with milk their sugar free and i have trouble with figureing out what carbs are im getting another dietistion for the extra help

I also drink alot of water thru out the day

wishful l shrinking how did u eat i want to do 2 shakes a day(carnation instant breakfast sugar free shakes) then eat lunch like grilled chicken breast i need to weigh everything witch i havent really been doing

I cant have my surgery until i have 3 weigh ins in a row where i have lost weight i had 2 good one's in a row but the 3rd one i gained a few pound's i try to eat right but it's hard i think ill do 2 protein shakes a day and then one good meal any suggestions i need to lose 5 lb's before my 3rd weigh in

Hello everyone i'm almost about to get my surgery date.I've had a dietrition for a few months not weve been talking about serving size and i just don't get it.i have a book with all food and size's but i'm not sure how to get serving size's like if u have a 1 serving size of fruit how do u measure it do i get 1/2 fruit and 1/2 of another fruit is that what 1 serving is and what about 2 servings

Hello im asking how do u make sure u get enough of protin.I havent had surgery i ate a protin bar yesturday and i was sick and really gassy.Will it go away after surger? I hope it gets better

thanks for the info i think i hope they do a sleep study on me .I have a bone mas over 35 i have high chestrol and acid reflex i have my first orintation tomorrow it's going to be a long process

I called medicare they said they cover surgery if your body mass is ove 35 and u have a few illness's i have high cholestoral and acid reflex but they said it has to be labled in the file as gerd and my feet hurt i need to have some sort of x rays in my file im kind of lost just starting the whole process i cant just tell my family dr to x ray me and change things like acid reflex to gerd im lost dont know if i should waste my time

I have acid reflex but not sure if it's charted as gerd or not and i have aches an pain in my feet but dont know if i should go to the dr again seems like im always there.

Hello my name is lisa my mom had gastric bypass like 6 yr's ago she has been having blood surger issues and also her iron leve keep's dropping low to where she's having to take iron pill's like everyday is that all part of the gastric bypass

Hello my name is lisa im just starting the path to gastic surgery.Can some tell me why the sleeve goes from ur stomch up to your throat or maybe i was reading it wrong.I havent decide yet which surgery im going to get im sure i have along time to go

Thank you all for the advice.My mom had it and gained almost all her weight back but she eats alot of junk.sometimes her blood suger goes into the 40's and she has to eat like a protin to get to go back up and like she has alittle hair lose but not sure if thats from the surgery or not.I dont really want to have blood suger issue's but maybe it wont happen if i eat right.I'm not sure if i can pass all the requirments.I'm depression,ptsd,and bipolar.I have been stable now for about a yr.I just feel like the surgery will help with my highcholosetrol and aches and pain's.thanks again for your advice
