  7. Hi I am waiting to be scheduled for surgery with Dr Montgomery at NWWLS.
  8. So my friend is being banded tomorrow 11 am, the one that got approval in one day, and I'm so depressed all I can do is cry. We went through the process together but she would make her apts before mine so she finished and submitted a week before me. Without an approval yet I feel like I'm being left behind. I don't even want to go to work or leave my couch until I get that call:unsure: I don't know how young been holding up nen waiting so long. Sigh.
  9. Thank you soooo much. It just comes down to whatever review nurse got our files you know? NeNe have you called them? If my wait goes past the 2 week mark I think I will be calling. Your approval should be just around the corner, heck it could even be today! Have faith. Its only been 3 business days since they got my files and already Im depressed Im not approved yet lol.
  10. ^ Great idea thanks!
  11. Im ok with putting the plastic things in my nipples- but the prob is that my nose ring is not one of those twist ones... its got a ball on the end that prevents it from coming out... and the ball is too big to squeeze through the piercing hole to get it out lol. Ive tried but it brings a tear to my eye and I stop trying.
  12. Ive had my nipple bars and nose pierced for 7 years and theyve never come out. I dont even think my nice stud even CAN come out lol. Crap:confused2:
  13. Got the word that they faxed all my files over to Aetna this morning. So I wait.
  14. ^ I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. They submitted my precert today to Aetna but not sure if the review nurse got in touch with my wl center and requested my files. My best friend d got approved in one day through them. I can only pray for a swift approval like hers. Keep up the faith!!
  15. I went to a pulmonary specialist end of December, and had my sleep apnea testing done january 4th. Within 2 weeks Ihad my results moderate to severe sleep apnea and was put on CPAP 1-28. Its been almost 30 days and made a WORLD of difference. I am a whole new person. My insurance coordinator at the surgery center advised it would be a good idea to get it done, but by then Id already made my apt. The testing was done at a BEAUTIFUL facility on the Water and they made everything very comfortable and smooth. (as smooth and that goop on your head can go) I got there at around 6pm and was out by 6:30 am the next morning. Dotn sweat it. Best thing I ever did.
  16. ^ Yeah. If she dies under nthe knife I wont get the surgery
  17. I like Marvelous Marchers..... *should* have a march banding depending on how fast insurance approval comes.
  18. Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  21. Nice thread! I am just turned 23..... have 1 week until everything is submitted to my insur co... really... really..... nervous. I get the jitters thinking about it. PLEASE GO THROUGH! My weight loss surgery cetner schedules out 1-2 weeks... so I could be banded by march! *crosses fingers* My best friend is "thebonbon" we work together... did out apts together, and hers is being submitted tomorrow. Wish US luck I should say lol. Its been a great thing going through the process together instead of alone.
  22. ^Sounds like a lag in the paperwork. GOOD LUCK! Youll get it!!!!!!!
  23. Thanks for replying! I have a mild panic disorder so knowing about what Im getting into helps. Anesthesia scares me. Its the "what if I dont wake up" thing.
  24. I am very freaked out about actually "going under the knife". I am hoping some of you could shed some insight to the actual procedure starting from the point you walked into the surgical center... do they put you in a gown? Make you count backwards .... please share your exerpiences as I am freaked out by the fact its getting down to the wire on submitting to my insurance. Thanks!
