  1. Thank you DaisyBell. I hope I do well or well enough to pass it. I am doing this for all the right reasons. I have family behind me and we are all ready to get this ball rolling. Have a great night sweets
  2. Thank you both. I will give them a call Monday morning. I don't want a few pounds keeping me from a healthier life. Thanks again y'all
  3. Thank you all for your replies to my question. When the nurse told me 850 questions i just couldn't believe it but definitely wanted to know what to expect. Y'all have calmed my nerves down a lot lol. Thank you all again so much. Hope you all have a blessed evening.
  4. Oh ok, I see. That does make me feel better. Thank you "labwalker". I want to lose this weight for ME most of all but also as a good influence for my children. I have a hereditary disease called Milroys Disease which is a type of Lymphedema. My children inherited it from me. I am suppose to keep my feet elevated at all times to keep swelling down. So kinda hard to lose weight sitting around on my butt. If I can get my weight down I CAN start walking and being more active. So excited for my future. Life is such a blessing and i want to take live every moment healthy and happy. Thanks again hun!
  5. Yes it sure is a lot of questions. But I will just be honest be hopeful. I want to get this surgery done and out of the way to find the healthier me. Thank you for your post hun:) Good luck in your journey as well!
  6. At the beginning of my journey the nurse at my Doctor's office told me I had to lose 22lbs in 6 months but found out I only have 3 months before surgery, not 6. So does that mean I have to lose half of the 22? And also what is I don't lose all required? Will I still get approved? I keep so worried up over all these questions:(
  7. I was told by one of the nurses at my doctor's office that my evaluation will be 850 questions long. I thought my Lord what in the world do they ask? The not knowing makes me nervous. Can anybody give me an idea of what they ask? Ty:)
  8. Thank you New Nina...I love these encouraging replies. I love the support of this forum. It makes my heart smile:) I can't wait until I see where I am at my 2 year point. Hopefully mine will be as successful as you all. Have a great night honey!
  9. Thank you @lisacarson and @pinkdahlia . Your words are such inspiration. I am so excited to find the healthier and happier person inside of me. For not only me but for my kids and husband. You ladies have a blessed night
  10. Well instead of a negative vent it's more like a nervous vent I guess lol. I keep butterflies in my stomach all the time and probably will until I get approved. Thank you for your positive words. I am really excited about this new adventure:)
  11. I started my Lapband journey 1 month ago. I am getting all my appointments done and working on losing my required 22lbs before surgery. I am excited but try not to get my hopes up just in case I get denied surgery. I do not have high blood pressure or diabetes but I did a sleep study a few days ago and I have been told I need to come back for a second night and wear a CPAP so am assuming they suspect sleep apnea so that would help my approval. I have been walking 2 miles every other day but I think I will start walking 1mile every day. Maybe that will benefit me better. I have very supportive friends and family and I am looking forward to a healthier me.
