  4. I just bought some Pacific brand organic Santa Fe style Chicken Soup. I strained it and gave my husband all the bulk and had the broth. It was the BEST thing I've had in over two weeks!!
  5. I was sleeved on 3/31. Just the thought of making a Protein shake makes me cringe. I am sooo sick of them! Other than that, I am feeling better every day. Just mentally a little blah! It's been rainy and supposed to stay that way all week

  8. I had surgery two days ago. I wasn't sure at first about telling people. But I have told EVERYONE (mostly because I was so excited)! I was surprised at how supportive everyone was. I got tons of hugs and prayers from my friends and coworkers. I have received so many texts to find out how I am feeling and my bunco friends left a gift basket full of lotions, candles, etc. at my house so it was there when I got home from hospital I am glad I didn't keep it to myself.

  10. I've had headaches the past 2 days since my ER visit. Your posts give me so much hope!
  11. I was in the ER with a migraine last night. I am scheduled for sleeve on 3/31. I only started getting bad migraines this past year. As of now, I take imitrex, which works about 75% of the time. My dr. was talking about putting me on Topamax daily to prevent. Not sure what to do, because I haven't discussed pill alternatives for imitrex. As sick as I felt last night, I was ready to tell my dr that I wanted to try the Topamax. From what I'm hearing, maybe I should wait and see if the sleeve has a positive effect?

  19. Thanks for the advice and encouragement! I really needed to hear the things that you all had to say. There are some things that don't really worry me. I've exercised most of my life until I had a pretty bad foot and ankle injury a year and a half ago (which is how I got to the point where I qualified.) I now am able to exercise, but it's just not as easy as it had been with all the added weight. Pop is also not really a "thing" for me. But that was kind of the problem. It's almost as if I was thinking "I can't have pop anymore, better drink up!" So it's only been a couple days, but I am journaling, moving more and no pop. This is why I needed to post-I knew I needed to hear from people going through the same thing. I also plan on going to the group meetings at my surgeons office. Thanks again!
  20. Trying to figure out if this is normal. I was so excited once I had made the decision to get sleeved. I couldn't think about anything else. When I spoke to the nutritionist during the first visit two weeks ago, we set some goals(recording my food, limiting pop to 3/week, 25 mins exercise 3x/week). I just can't seem to get it together to do ANY of them. I almost feel like how you feel when you know you are going to be starting a diet "next week. " I feel confident that I will succeed with the sleeve. I am just worried, that the process will be delayed or not approved at all if I don't do the things they are asking me to do.
