    Hey Sleeve Weavers! Feb 2015!

I am scheduled for Feb 3, I had insurance problems and was originally scheduled for Nov 3. However, everything is straightened out and I am set for Feb 3. I am married, mother of 2, grandmother of 6, just turned 59 yesterday. I work as an RN in WV. I have arthritis in my knees and they are bone one bone, so I have to lose weight before I can have knee surgery later on. I am excited, nervous and scared but so ready for a new start on life. I am happy to meet all of you all on here and WE CAN DO THIS!!!!

    New to fifties group

Today is day 4 of my 2 week preop liquid diet. Its a little rough going but I am doing it, and so happy that I am making it happen. I have lost 5 1/2lbs as of this morning, I wouldn't have believed it if I had not seen it for myself. 10 more days to go on the liquid diet. I have been mixing beef broth and low sodium V8 juice and heating it in the microwave and it tastes like vegetable soup. I drink this once or twice a day and have chicken broth also. I am not sure the V8 is allowed but it shouldn't hurt anything because its very low in carbs. How is everyone else doing on their liquid diet? I am looking forward to hearing from others.

    Any November sleevers out there

I am scheduled for November 3, I started my 2 week liquid pre op diet today. I work nights so this is going to be a little bit of a challenge. However it is so going to be worth it. I am excitedly nervous... I am sure most of you can understand what I mean. I am excited to start on this new journey and finally have a good tool to help me lose the weight I need to lose. I know its not going to be an easy fix and I have to put a lot of work into it. I am nervous because, well its surgery, need I say more? I am looking forward to hearing from others. and how everyone is doing. Happy sleeving!!!
