After how much time post op the risk of having a gastric leak continues to exist ?

I had my surgery mid december. Ive lost 18 kgs ever since. But im not losing any more and im getting sooo depressed. Im not able to stop snacking and nibbling.. im working out at a gym every now and then.. my friend had his surgery on the same date, he's lost 37 kilos !! I feel wrong !! I feel i went through all this pain for nothing... i mean i did this surgery to finally become thin !!!! :"(

Im half way my second month post op nd im NOT LOSING ANY WEIGHT AT ALL.. im seriously going nuts.. i dont believe anyone telling me about stalls any more. I just believe it was a mistake i did this surgery.. all i lost was 22 pounds.. nd thats it !! Im not losing any more and never will!!! Sooooo frustrated.. sooo depressed... feeling like shit :@

I was allowed 2 weeks post op

Well my issue is that.. why havent i lost anything in the past month !!!! Its a whole month !! I shouldve lost something atleast.. i lost all the 22 pounds during the first 2 weeks post op !

I lost 22 pounds in the 1st month. Is that ok ? I just feel i need to drop more in that amount of time..

Yeah. But I lost most of the kilos during the 1st couple of weeks. Ever since, nothing is coming off !!

Im a month post op. Im not sure i can eat some of those food : croissant, donuts, chips, nachos, etc.. Supposed to be on a soft food diet. Some friends are allowed to eat bread crums and hard toast at this stage. Were u guys allowed ? I mean i really wana have some bread with my eggs for breakfast !!

Anyone who was seriously treated for depression and anxiety post op ? A month after my surgery i had to see a psychiatrist and im started on antidepressanta and anxiolitics. Im not even able to go to work. Im a nurse; a huge lot of responsibility.. it just makes me so sad

Im one month post op. Im going through a really dull phase. Im so depressed. Not enjoying anything in life. Everytime i hear of food i get nausea. Its been a couple of days where im not having enough fluids nor food nd im soooooo tired !! I work as a nurse. So yesterday i had this night shift where i could barely every work. My friends hung an iv for me. Im so dizzy, tired, just wanna sleeep, nd do nothing else ! This nausea is killing me. I didnt have it before. Its just making things worse.. I just wish i didnt get myself into this surgery. Its ruining my whole life. I cant even stop crying :"(

#sofianoemi i get u 100%.. im going through regrets too.. but when i read what everyone on this blog writes ( it will pass. U will get better) it comforts me a little. I dno really !!

U know im having 2nd thoughts about whether i ruined my whole life by deciding to do this surgery ! Nd i hate it when i think this way. I guess ill just still to yoghurt, potato nd eggs till i get started on my solid food.

Thank u dear. U know when i was on liquids i never felt any nausea at all.. now a month post op starting on mashed food is HELL on earth.. the nausea is just unbearable.

Hey guys I'm Lebanese. 3 weeks post op

I'm 3 weeks post op. Sometimes I feel some mild pain or discomfort in my stomach. I duno how to describe the feeling , but it just feels weird. Some other times I feel very mild pain in my left shoulder. Im not sure if Im Just worrying too much about it or is it normal at this stage? I've heard of ppl having gastric leaks and I'm just getting paranoid about it.

Im a hubble bubble smoker. I really dont know if its allowed post sleeve. Im 2 weeks post op. I refrain from asking my dr cause he's soooo strict and wouldn't let me anyway ! So any of u guys are smokers ? And what do u think?

Ive been going through personal problems that have caused me to cry, scream, get extremely angry.. and im just 2 wks post op. I think emotional stress is quite dangerous too..

Regarding the first 10 days post op. What were u guys allowed to have ? Im only allowed water, chicken nd meat froth, diet jello, and apple juice. Any other options ? Cause im sooo sick of this diet.

Do you guys know what kind of food might irritate or hurt our new tummy ? I mean they always say stay away from sugar, caffeine, soda, etc... im 1 week post op and still not allowed to have yoghurt.. but still i dont know why.. might it be that some food might hurt us at this point ? Or hurt our tummy stitches..
