  1. Congrat! This seems like an AMAZING accomplishment. Could you explain what "no sugar" means? I would like to break my addiction also but does it include artificial sweeteners, or foods that have hidden sugars, fruits, etc...? Could you give us a list of foods or a sample menu? Just to help me understand if it's a goal I wanna shoot for..
  2. Mmdulin, how are you? What did the doctors say at the hospital?
  3. @eclecktic---- no sex at all in 2 years? While sleeping in the same bed? I don't know, I'm thinking there's gotta be more to this. He can't be ashamed because like you said, he doesn't correct when people introduce you as a couple. Does he mind if you see someone else since your JUST friends? ....
  4. Hello! I had my sleeve 8/20/14 at Crozer Hospital. Good to see we have some Philly folks...
  5. It's obviously that the curve is affecting your health. If your condition improved after the endoscopy and then reverted, I think it's safe to assume the curve has also reverted. BE FIRM AND AGGRESSIVE with your doctor. It's your health so you MUST be your own advocate. I pray that you get better soon and keep us informed regarding your recovery.
  6. @@devint you summed it up beautifully!
  7. It's more fruity, not really milk tasting, but you can't beat the amount of protein in only 3.8 oz...
  8. Mskeisha I'm SO HAPPY FOR YOU! Wonderful!
  9. I also can't drink artificial sweeteners. I've recently been buying bottled decaf lemon iced tea 9gms of sugar and then mixing half with water. It's still kinda bland but beats just plain water. Also I found liquid whey protein vials at Walmart (42grams per 3.8 oz) then mixing it with a big water bottle sipping all day. It's sugar free but when it's so diluted it's not unbearable...
  10. Hey guys! Woke up this morning thanking God for this new opportunity at life. Just a few things. I ate dinner and was stuffed, but realized that I no longer have that super bloated, pregnant look after I eat. Even though I feel full, I don't look it. Also, though I'm only down 33 lbs since my sleeve, I'm really noticing a difference. Was wrestling my husband (a normal activity we do for fun) and I almost ALWAYS win because of my size. I started faking a loss because it was kind of embarrassing overthrowing a decent sized much taller grown man... But I REALLY put out my best and he tossed me around easily. Though I despise the thought of defeat, I'm feeling happy that he's getting a "normal" sized wife. (And can feel like a real man. LOL) I guess i should be more cautious walking down dark alleys now? ????
  11. I just found a liquid 3 oz vial of protein at Walmart! Just looking thru their health isle in the pharmacy section and there it was. Different flavored, watermelon, blue raspberry... 43 grams per 3 oz! 2 vials and you're done for the day. Weird though because the blue raspberry was .98 cents and the others were 2.38$. Only problem, I HATE artificial sweeteners. I tastes like diet coolaid. But I'm gonna try to get it down some sort of way. I'll take a pic and post it in a few...
  12. I have BA calcium flavorless powder. 2 tiny scoops twice a day. You can mix it in anything even water and drink...
  13. I was put in it too. BUT after having a bad rash as a reaction my surgeon said don't worry about taking it. I'm about 7 weeks out and so far no problems with gall bladder.
  14. @@FLGrammy Well, I should have said, I ate a piece of brownie and when I felt clear to eat again I ate more pieces... But nonetheless today is a new day and I'm getting it together. I thank God for this forum and the encouragement.
  15. Had a bad day today. I just ate what ever I wanted. I never felt satisfied. I ate a little piece of brownie, then a piece of a cookie, then a piece of lasagna and thought I was doing well by not eating the noodles. I just am disappointed with myself and don't wanna fall off my game when I've been doing well until now. I told myself I'll start new tomorrow, but remember this "start tomorrow" mentality before my sleeve. I think I've stretched my pouch already... Depressed...
  16. Welcome FLGrammy! I have the same surgery date. Hope things are going better for you now...
  17. Wow! Congrats Rebecca! I'm looking forward to getting there myself...
  18. @@ruskatie, Welcome! I just broke a 3 week stall. Had my surgery the 20th and only lost 20 lbs the first week. So you my dear are actually doing well. Sorry about the complications... The people on this forum are so helpful and you'll start to realize all that you're going thru is the norm. I too was worried and frustrated but my scale is moving again and yours will too. Hang in there, you're right on track.
  19. Thanks for sharing the site Aredder!
  20. Thanks Mother of 5! I was also told no red meat but not for 6 months... I guess every surgeon is different.
  21. Yes. I broke out bad on my neck and chest. It was from the medicine they prescribed to prevent gall stones with sudden weight loss, ursodial. Hope you find the reason soon...
  22. Hello All! I just found this thread and am so happy to be a part! I was sleeved Aug 20th and haven't really had any problems. I stalled for about 3 weeks at 25 lbs lost but after reading your posts I realize I'm not alone! This is a great group. I broke the stall this week and started exercising this week, I guess that's what I needed to do. I weigh myself everyday, just get an idea of what I did right or wrong the day before.
