yes- i admire your effort and wish i had money to give. I have a friend who can not afford the surgery yet either. several of us are over 300 # . i was 385 day of surgery. and i own three businesses . i have been over 300 since high school and work since good luck

Di Di ---- Why should we be ashamed? I think not. We are all adults and this a great thread. Why were you looking for it in the first place? and why did you read it all? People need to discuss these things how are we to learn? No one is being hurtful or rude...... Ya'll have my support

i used the free only. i even converted the whole family and dh. i make a great dessert with frozen strawberries (no sugar) and sf strawberry Jello and angel food cake.....you mix the hot Water and jello to melt then add the frozen berries and stir until melted then break up about half a angel food cake and mix in to jello mix. put in fridge and wait. top with cool whip free

this has come up so many times. i thought it was funny until i started the day before surgery. they actually have pads and netting undies to hold in place the nurse(male) told me that it usually is messy but they clean you up before you go to recovery and you are still out. then as i woke up that was the first thing on my mind and as soon as i could my mom helped me to the bathroom and as groggy as i was i changed back to my underoos and pad.....mom offered to help me clean up but uuumm no....i did it

also Yasmin(birth control pill) shuts down ovaries so cysts dont form

for those of you in olympia area go to pacsurgical.com and they have forums for past, future and present patients. they also do fills for people who have had surgery elsewhere

i was 385 presurgery and 375 day of (aug 17 05) now 325 (6 months) . lap band is great i have no complaints at all . find some one else who is a supporter of lap band cause it doesnt sound like that guy is

Also- pressing your tongue to the roof of your mouth tightens your neck(chins) Do 3-5 sets of 10 a couple of times a day. I am worried about ineer thighs and stomach

How many band sizes are there? i have 6cc in a 11cc band. i know there is a 4cc and a 7 cc. what is the max in a 11 cc - does that mean it holds 11cc and what if you dont have restriciton at 11 cc then do you get a smaller band? i ask my doc if i would have to have a smaller band later and he sd no

Well i was banded in aug and my first two fills i could eat just about anything and was wondering why everyone was talking about PB ing and stuff. Pork and dry chicken would kind of get hung up but a sip or two of water and i was good. THEN i got a fill last thursday and OMG i cant eat anything ( 1/2 cup maybe) and No bread and my bites MUST be SMALL and well chewed. I knew this day would come. i have been practicing but had gotten lax about chewing and small bites. It only takes on opps to remind you.

I was D/c the same day without barium but I get to drink it for each fill. Not too bad but last time they couldnt find the saline from before and think there is a leak so i got extra..... After surgery they had me drink like 10 cc of Water every 15 min then after 4 of those they up it to 20 cc and every 10 min and i get 50% juice did that for a hour more and out the door. The cool thing was that i was at a small hospital and alot of the nurses including mine had lap band from the same doc.

I like taco bell so i would go get a combo burrito(beans, beef and sauce) and add extra sauce ...dump it in to a little bowl throw away the shell and yum .. maybe a dallop of sour cream(fat free)

I may have a leaky port/band does ins pay to replace that?? what if the band is the leak? do they warranty it? does ins pay for it?

I totally know what you mean about monthly issues. I do GREAT for two weeks then a week before i stall and then i gain up to 5 lbs( used to be 15ish) about half way through my period i start losing it and then i'm on again for two weeks or so. But i think you should check with your doctor.

So i went to get a fill on Friday and the saline from my first fill is MIA... Maybe it's a leak she says. We can just replace the port ...Its a small procedure...less than first surgery.... RIGHT..... so is she going under anesthia? By the way is this covered under warranty? HELP so now i have to go back and they(Doc) will inject die and find out where it is leaking.... Anyone else gone through this? what leaks ? she said port but how does she know? angie

PBing is productive burping(food dont go down)... hang in there. I was banded on aug 17th and i thought i was eating too much and tooo hungry but i found that everyone is different and i just keep thinking abuot how much less i am eating from before
