Any November Sleevers for 2014 need surgery buddys?
I've had the headaches too. Tylenol has helped. Are you allowed food on your preop diet? Or just liquids?

Any from Nebraska/Midwest?
Thank you so much. That's exactly what I needed to hear right now. Pre-op diet is going ok. Since I've started all this (about two months ago), I'm down 35lbs from 330 to 295. Hoping the preop diet will shed that down a few more before surgery. I, too, have PCOS. not fun. Best wishes to you and thanks again

Any November Sleevers for 2014 need surgery buddys?
My surgery is on 11/4. This is day four (of fourteen) of pre-op diet. My doc allows me two shakes a day and a sensible meal all to stay under 1000 calories. It's RIDICULOUSLY difficult for me. Strangely enough, exercise helps keep my mind off it. I see people eating food and my mind just goes into "wanting that" mode. Even stuff I don't like! But, this is just temporary and I remind myself that it's a mental game and I CAN WIN. I'll get to eat the foods I love again, it just may be awhile. (I miss you, cheese). If anybody wants to buddy up on this preop diet, let me know. There's no such thing as too much support for me. Also, to the person who was asking about yummy protein shakes, I buy Trutein. It's s little pricey (and only online) but it's so good. I recommend the pb chocolate cup, banana, and lemon meringue. Their plain chocolate and vanilla are yummy too. Best tasting shake I've ever had (and I tried a lot!)

Pre-op diet
I started my two week pre-op diet yesterday. Surgery is on the 4th. I'm excited but NERVOUS. On my diet, the doc says I can have two Protein Shakes a day and a "sensible meal" all to be under 1000. Yesterday was TOUGH. Today at work has been super hard too. Does it get easier? I have a "friend" telling me to cheat. I dont want to, I'm scared enough of surgery!! Any suggestions? How did you guys get through it?

Any from Nebraska/Midwest?
Howdy all, I'm just starting the pre-op diet and have my surgery date set for 11/4. I'm nervous and excited and scared and ready all at the same time. For my pre-op diet, my doctor has me having two Protein shakes a day, and a "sensible" dinner (all to be less than 1000 cals a day). Today is day one, and I knew I'd be hungry. Just seeing if anybody is my neck of the woods and what their experiences have been like? I have a friend that had a sleeve about 6 months ago, and they have had great success. However, they don't really eat what they're supposed to now, they cheated during the pre-op diet, and are not a great source of information. (We are friends for other reasons besides just weight loss, obviously - hehe). Looking for others that have had similar experiences and just a support buddy.

NEBRASKA!
Hi all! Just been reading everybody's experiences. I'm in Lincoln and going to Dr. Hung. I've done all the preop, just waiting on insurance verification. (Yippee). I'm pretty nervous about surgery and complications but know I need to lose weight! I'll be going to St e's. What have your experiences been? Anyone going to preop class in October?
