3 wks post op. Down 21.5 lbs. Saw my dr yesterday. I'm at only 2 ccs but he decided I didn't need a fill. Everythg has been going good. I get to graduate to solid foods now. I've been chewing chewing chewing. I find that if I've chewed somethg with 30 chews and it still isn't ready to go down I just spit it out. No vomiting no pb. Everythg is great. Now if I can just get myself to the gym more

  7. I'm only 4 days post op. And I'm so happy excited and optimistic. I have no swolen cankles at the end of the day. I'm. Down 8 lbs. I'm not loving this liquid stage but I want my stomach to heal . I don't want slime or bp or any of the other horrors these posts are riddled with. I've struck out at everythg else. I so want this to work. Trying to stay dehydrated taking my vitamins trying to get as much protein in as possible. Keep doing what u r doing. we will write our own stories and embrace the band. I want to work with it not against it. Good luck!!

Im afraid to speak up and change how well everythg is going. Lost four lbs. Just want to chew somethg. Tired of chicken broth but adkins protein drinks are really good and pure protein too. My ankles have not been swollen for the past few nites. Always had cankles by bedtime preband. Easy to stay hydrated and stick to the plan while stayathome. Afraid of how hard it will be once back at work. I sleep mostly on my back and every two hrs or so switch sides. Its been hard not sleeping on my sides. First nite was difficult. Last night was better. Slept a whole four hrs at a time. Havent slept a full nite in years. Two hr catnaps rollover for another two hrs. Hoping this will be the end of restless nights. No sliming or pb or stuck. Just liquids and multivitamins

    Counting the days

Thanks for yr kind words and encouragement. It was resch for tomoro 6am. So excited and scared. Think I have everythg I need. Was disappointed today. There was no discussion abt cost of the procedure outside of being covered and deductible a d copays..then they call me to confirm my apt and discussed my portion . Apparently the band itself is not covered. Kinda disappointed that my dr office has sprung this on me now. Will not let it get me down. Ready to be on the road to recovery and start my new journey.
  11. Hey! I'm counting the days until my surgery date...October 6th. Got a week off of work and trying to get everything in order. I'm nervous, excited, scared, thrilled, whirlwind! I'm away from my family, living three states away, relocated for a job. Have some friends that will take care of me if I need. I've struggled with my weight all my life. I can't even remember what it was like to be smaller or to eat a meal and feel full. I'm so ready to start the next step of this journey.
