I am in Victoria and was sleeved Sept 8th by Dr. Amson. I waited 11 months. He is a great surgeon as are all the surgeons in the Victoria RJH Bariatric Program. The wait times have lessened as there are more surgery times allotted now and there is another surgeon in the program now for a total of 3 top notch Drs. Unless you have extenuating circumstances with your health there should be a reasonable wait time. We have a Facebook group for people looking into the surgery, have had it or are about to. It is currently a secret group but is changing to a private group in a few weeks. If you would like to be added please email me at 305.gsl@gmail.com New members are welcome! There is also a support meeting on Nov 17th at RJH - Woodward Bldg. 6:30-8:00. Hope to hear from you! ????

  12. Hi - Sleeved by Dr Amson Sept 8th. I live in Victoria. We have an awesome facebook support group called Victoria Bariatrics if you are interested. It is a private group and I would have to invite you if you are interested. ????
  13. Sleeved 09.08.2015 - An easy way to get your protein in is to use Genepro protein powder. 30gm per tbsp! Tasteless and mixes with hot or cold. I buy mine on Amazon.
  14. I was sleeved 3 weeks ago and can eat pretty much anything. My sleeve was done at a 36 French Bougie. I can also eat larger amounts than the guidelines but I eat 700-800 calories and get all my protein in. I am down over 10lbs.
