  1. Tammy, How long did it take for your swelling to go down? I am 2 weeks post tt, LBL and breast lift. I can't wait for the swelling to go down.
  2. I am sorry to hear about your issues. I have been banded 4.5 years and never had a slip. You might want to see another lap band doctor before you have it removed. Good luck!
  3. I had a tummy tuck, lower body lift, breast lift and lipo suction 2 weeks ago. I am still swollen and the recovery is going well. I think the tummy tuck and lower body lift will make the biggest difference. I will be able to wear fitted clothes without the bulge of extra skin. I can't wait to see the final results after the swelling goes down.
  4. I love the breast lift. I kinda wish I had gotten implants. They look great but I am used to being a D and I am a C now. They are perky and I love it. The pain has not been bad at all. I rarely have pain. I've heard the implants are more painful because the implants go under the muscle. But I am sure the pain is worth it just like it was for the tummy tuck.
  5. I had a lower body lift, tummy tuck and breast lift. I am moving around really well. I can't stand up completely straight yet but it has been only 10 days.
  6. I also added Benefiber to water a couple of tines a day. It worked well and you can't taste it.
  7. I took Dulcolax and 1 didn't work but the next day I took another one and then I had diarrhea. It was so bad that I had to Immodium to stop it. It took a few days but things seem to be working. I don't go as often because I am eating less. Make sure you drink plenty of Water. I hope it gets better soon.
  8. I was told I would have 4 drains but I only needed 2 and both came out on Thursday. It is good to be drain free. I am below my surgery weight this morning and I still have some swelling. I can't wait to see the final results.
  9. I saw the doc today. The nurse that has been coming to my house thought the swelling had not gone down enough on my abdomen. He said it looks good and may be a little more swollen than he would like but he is not concerned. He put me on steroids to help. My stitches look amazing. I think I am healing really well. I will try to take pics tomorrow.
  10. Congrats! I bet it feels so good to be drain free. So will save so much money by not smoking. U had surgery at the surgery center at my doctor's office which is off the belt way and Kimberley. His name is Dr. Christopher Patronella.
  11. I worked out with a personal trainer after I was banded and my abs were super sore but that is normal. Keep up the av work it will really help. The stronger your core the better you will feel. Good luck!
  12. I really hope the wellbutrin helps. My doctor gave me Xanax and told me to take one every night for the first week to help me sleep and it is great. It really calms me down and knocks me out. I live in Richmond but I am basically in Sugar Land. What part of Houston do you live?
  13. One of my nurses used an e cigarette and it really helped her quit. She pulled it out and took a puff right in the office.
  14. I am doing well. I know what you mean about the compression garment. It is not comfortable but at this point but I would be more uncomfortable without it. I quit cold turkey. The surgery seemed so scary I didn't want to do anything to mess it up. I just hope I don't start back. I wasn't a real heavy smoker but I did smoke everyday. It was hard to quit. Good luck!
  15. If it is not a bad episode then I will continue eating. If it is bad and takes awhile to get it up then I will wait until the next meal to eat.
  16. Hi Karen, I am so sorry about all of the issues you are dealing with. I quit smoking 2 weeks before my surgery and my surgery was just 4 days ago. I was told that smoking would slow down the healing process but I don't know if that is related to your drain. I hope things ease up for you. Take it easy for a few days and pamper yourself. You deserve it.
  17. I came home Friday morning. I had morphine during the night after surgery. I have been on Nucynta and Xanax at night. It works really well.
  18. I am doing well. Sitting up and getting back down hurts a bit. Once I am down I really don't have any pain. It is more uncomfortable. I am pretty swollen. The compression garments are so tight. My breasts don't hurt at all.
  19. At the surgery center. Waiting to go back!
  20. I am so excited and a little nervous! Breast lift, lower body lift and tummy tuck!
  21. You will know when you are there. You will get full much faster. For me it feels like the food is just sitting there. Be patient. It takes time and it is very worth it in the end. Good luck!
  22. I the same issues but it was a few years after I had the band. The band was too tight and a slight adjustment fixed it immediately. I had the problem again recently and had it adjusted again. Your doc should be able to help. Good luck.
  23. I drink beer on a regular basis as well as Coke Zero. I have not stretched my pouch. I would never tell anyone to not follow doctor's orders but I do drink carbonated drinks. I was banded in 2007.
  24. To my lower body lift, tummy tuck and breast lift on Thursday. I can't wait!
  25. I was banded in November, 2007 and I finally hit my goal weight at the end of 2011. I started having reflux at night and so I went in and had to get a partial unfill. My original surgeon moved and is no longer in my area so I had to go to a new doctor and he definitely took out too much. I can eat anything and I am hungry all the time. I've gained about 6 pounds but I am really being careful and monitoring what I am eating. I think I have it under control. He won't do any more fills until I have some kind of test to make sure I don't have any damage. I may have to find another doctor. I am having a tummy tuck, lower body lift and breast lift on Thursday so I am glad that I don't have restriction because I don't want to worry about being too tight during the recovery. Maybe you have a leak and that is why you don't have a lot of restriction. If your doc can't access the port he should probably do an x-ray to see where it is and what is going on. Good luck!
