I had Lap-Band surgery in 2008 and had great results. Then I lost my insurance at a point when my Lap-Band was too restricted. At that same time I discovered that my port had become detached and could no longer be adjusted. This was in 2010. I couldn't afford the surgery to have my port reattached and thus began a cycle of regaining most of the weight I'd lost. Frustrating. I now have insurance again and had my port fixed in 2014 only to have it come unattached again. So, after much soul searching, praying and talking with others I have decided to convert to the gastric sleeve. I am excited to be making forward progress again.
