My sister told me about BariatricPal. She had gastric sleeve surgery last year and I had my surgery on August 21st, 2014. I am still in awe and feel this is the best decision I could have ever made! I am down 30 pounds from 247 to 217 in almost 3 weeks. I suffered from high blood pressure and sleep apnea that had gotten so bad, I was beginning to fall asleep while driving to and from work. That's when I said enough is enough. I started having trouble with my weight about ten years ago and no matter what I did, each year I was bigger. I was unhappy and unhealthy! My BP has already come down and my apnea is on the way to being gone already. I am sleeping fitfully which I haven't been able to do in years.

Anyway, I thought it would be a good idea to connect with others in the same position as I have had questions during my journey so far. I have taken a look around the site and am happy I joined, it looks like there's a lot of information to help as well as being able to share what I encounter on my journey : >
