  1. @@Ruth1ess Wow, didn't even notice that. Honestly I'm not really sure lol. I think my major thing is just being consistent and making it a lifestyle change. I workout at least 4 days a week. I also had to learn not to beat myself up. If I eat something bad I don't say oh well I messed up so I'll just eat bad all day. As before surgery if I ate something "bad" I would feel sorry for myself and feel like I messed up already anyway so I'll eat bad for the rest of the day or the infamous I'll start back Monday. You're doing an awesome job. Good luck on your journey. Reach out to me anytime if you have any questions or simply need some motivation. Oh that helped too. I have people around me that supports me and keeps me motivated.
  2. Congrats! You look amazing!!
  3. They work with people in different states your location doesn't matter I'm in Illinois
  4. What Insurance do you have
  5. Congrats!! I know the feeling I also was approved through external review and hired Lindstrom. Kelley is amazing. Good luck with your journey!!
  6. I received one and haven't used it and don't plan on it. I order appetizers or a meal and share it with someone, or just take home the left overs. For the most part there is nothing healthy on the kid's menu. And like someone else said I prefer not to share my medical history with strangers.
  7. I'm in... I'm in weight loss mode and will post my starting weight and goal weight on 8/22. Thanks so much for hosting another challenge.
  8. I think I would have been fine on a cruise. I went on vacation 5 months after. It was actually better because of the weight I had lost.
  9. Try the app Strong. It really good and free. You can create exercise routines and also keep track of improvement such as increasing weight and reps.
  10. I did. Had to take medication (antibiotics) for a week I think.
  11. I was denied from weight gain and my denial letter only had one reason... The other seems like either the BMI criteria wasn't met or the doctor didn't send any records that she has been overweight for a period of time But I would call the insurance company to clear it up...
  12. From the denial letter it looks like there are two reasons you were denied
  13. If they submit before you complete your program they will deny you for not completing the program. Don't get discourage. Make sure you don't gain anymore weight and complete the program and all of Aetna's requirements. Don't let anyone discourage you if I did I wouldn't be where I'm at now. Good luck!! Keep us posted.
  14. Your first documented weight when you started the program with your surgeon. So my first weight was from my first appointment with the nutritionists.
  15. At the end of your program you need to be less or the same weight as you started.
  16. Most insurance companies have about 14 days, but you usually hear back sooner. But I would call them to make sure they receive your paper work. I've seen quiet a few people on here that wait and when they call the insurance company they say they haven't received the paperwork.
  17. I also used lindstrom. Had to go through to the external appeal but won in the end. Don't give up
