  1. You know the same thing happened to me the hospital insisted that I owed $1,000.00 at registration. We went back and forth a few times. I finally gave up and decided it would all get sorted in the end. I got to the hospital and my co pay was $250. I have bcbs fed. So all of the anxiety for nothing. I knew it wasn't a $1,000.00 but I think the hospital just spits out a canned answer to everyone. Not until the insurance approval is in and they run the account do they find out. Why, I can't tell you.
  2. That was a message for smiley, I'm still trying to figure out the App
  3. Pleas let us know what your doctors says
  4. No gas pains at all. No pain meds either. My surgery seems so different from most, I am kind of waiting for the other shoe to drop. There must be a catch and I have just not gotten to it. For right now I am counting my blessings.
  5. Home safe and sound. Resting in my little room. Had Breakfast already. 2 oz lactaid and a scoop of unjury vanilla. It was delicious and I ate about 1/2 of it. Will continue to work on it. I have been up since 5 AM and I have managed 5 ounces of liquids. Boy, do I burp all the time. It's ridiculous. I hope this passes or I will not be able to eat in front of another person ever. I feel good but a little weak. Will stay in bed most of the day, I'm sure.
  6. Having broth with protein right now at the hospital. I feel good and the nurse said of all the patients this week I did the best. I am so used to doing the worst when it comes to medical issues this was the most wonderful complement I could have received. Of course there still a lot of recovery ahead of me but I had a good start. I going home sometime this afternoon. Hurray!
  7. Hi everyone. I have slept through my entire recovery. It turns out Oxycodone puts me to sleep. No gas pain. I am to go home today at the end of the day. Until then I am going to relax. Go on my walks and sip my fluids. And make endless trips to bathroom. My kidneys have been very busy with this IV. I feel good.
  8. Why are you scarred ? Something happened?
  9. This is going way better then expected. For those of you waiting your turn. Don't worry, this is fine. I am having a relaxing hospital stay. Turns out my hospital has single rooms for the Bariatric aisle. During my walk I counted 20 patients from my doctor and other area doctors. The other thing is I have used nothing from my luggage.
  10. I AM ALIVE. It was not bad at all. I slept mostly. Never was wake long enough to post. All I did was go to bathroom and one small walk. Did have a couple bouts of nausea but they were not as bad as pregnancy nausea. I think the pain meds are working really well. I slept like a baby. Good luck today, I am the biggest chicken on earth and this is so doable
  11. At the hospital waiting like a good girl. Had my heparin shot and my IV is in. All good.
  12. I figure for the rest of October I may be a little indisposed and won't be able to keep up my send off routine. To those of you going these last days of October go get them gladiators. Good luck to you all. See you all at the "OCTOBER 2014" thread on the Post-Surgery section of the Gastric Bypass Forum.

  15. Oh no, how scary. Imagine if you were home and that happened. Morphine doesn't agree with everyone. I am surprised but I have read so many posts of people saying they felt so much better after stopping taking it. Feel well my friend. I'm about to feel just like you surgery today at 2:30 pm
  16. I thought I wasn't supposed to cry until after surgery.
  17. I will. The minute I'm awake and can have my phone, I will post. I hope you all know I couldn't have done this without you!
  18. Oh, thank you everyone, I love you all.

  23. I think you should lay low for a while. The world outside is too scary right now. Imagine that. A drunk driver tear ending you, OMG
  24. Makes sense. It's a condition. Now you know surgery for you is riskier but if they know its just a matter of placing you on blood thinners for a while. You will be fine, a little scare just to keep you on your toes
