  1. @@Kacherry what doctor was this? I live in the DFW area and am so curious. If you don't want to tell me that's fine I just wanted to know.
  2. When did you have your surgery? I'm going alone and I'm not really nervous about that right now but I imagine I'll get more so as it gets closer. The coordinators seem very professional and have had the surgery with him.
  3. Hey y'all, I'm having my surgery in TJ on June 5th, and I'm going on my own. I wanted to see if there was anyone out there going at the same time so we could be buddies. Let me know!
  4. @@Romira22 My mom is going to have her surgery with him on the 23rd! Are you travelling alone, I know that she is and would probably like a buddy. Her name is Suzanne and she's on my friends list. If there's a way to tag her I don't know how yet.
  5. I'm going to have it with him on June 5th! I was originally scheduled for the 8th but changed it so I wouldn't miss out on too much work.
  6. I used Citerra for outside financing and it's great. I applied on Sunday was approved and had paperwork by Wednesday. Depending on the amount of the loans it's 225.00 a month and there's no balloon payment for an early pay off. Interest isn't so bad and I'm pretty excited.
  7. I'm going to TJ on June 5th! I'm so excited!
  8. The smear campaign I heard was through a company and it was so unprofessional that I changed my mind about having it with them.
  9. @@Hippichick I was planning to go to Dr. Alvarez as well and I backed out when he left the company he was with. I heard bad things but I thought it was just the previous coordinator (who was recently fired) running a smear campaign because he and his wife started a different company at a new and better hospital.
  10. @ I'm using him but my surgery is in June! Let me know how it goes!
  11. @@Hippichick I am so excited, I've seen excellent results from my dad and step-mom so I know this can really work. They're both in their 50's. I think anyone can be successful, I've got some nerves but I think it will be great. I just didn't expect to get approved for financing so quickly. Let me know how it goes and how you're feeling afterwards. Good luck!
  12. I didn't get in house financing but I did get it through a company listed on the Tijuana Bariatrics site and the payments are very reasonable. I haven't had the surgery yet but I've scheduled all the details. I used Citerra.
  13. Oh, my Gosh. I am freaking out a little. I've been out all weekend with my father and step-mother who were successfully sleeved here in the states but my insurance wouldn't approve the surgery for myself. I got home this weekend and I was talking with my mom about how much I want the surgery and how I just don't see anything but my weight. I'm 28 and have a good job but have a hard time saving for the surgery, she suggested that I apply for financing. I did it on a whim, I don't even have a surgery date set up but I just wanted to see what would happen. I got approved. I got a phone call and now I'm just excited, scared, ready to do this. I've been thinking about this for two years and the only thing I can think about is how that was two years of terrible diets, prescription diet pills, working out at the gym for no results. I don't want to tell many people because I have one really snarky friend who just puts me down about the weight and makes comments and if I tell her she'll tell everyone. I know that this is hard, so I really don't want to hear easy way out comments. I guess it's time for me to get that surgery scheduled but I just had to share my excitement with someone. I'll see Tijuana sometime soon!
  14. I work in the healthcare administration area, they are required by law to provide you medical records (usually within 3 business days). You will generally pay a fee for getting them but your health information belongs to you. Go back and tell her that you want a copy of your full record and she's required by law to give it to you.
