  1. Hello, Janie, I had my sleeve done just two weeks ago. I lost about 40 pounds in the six months prior to surgery and have lost about 10 pounds since surgery. I have to believe that I will continue to lose even though I am menopausal as long as I do what I'm supposed to do with diet and exercise. It's a journey, and though these early post-surgical days are challenging (trying to get enough fluids and protein), I know it it's a journey I'm glad I'm on. Good luck to you with your journey!!
