  1. I had gastric sleeve on 5-27-14. When I woke up from surgery I had mucous in my throat that has not gone away. I can;t cough it up cant swallow it down. I had a hiatal hernia repaired at the same time as surgery but the doctor says test show the problem is not coming from the surgery. I went to see a ear. nose & throat doc who imcreased prilosec dosage and gave sinus spray. I'll see if this helps. But this mucous is very annoying.Makes me want to throw up and not want to eat.
  2. I can relate to the previous post. I had surgery 5-27-14. I had to have a hiatal hernia(which I did'nt know I had) repaired. I just feel sick most of the time. I have so much thick mucus in my throat which I can;t cough up or swallow down. Upper GI test showed I have esophageal diverticulum. Funny, before surgery I did not have any symptoms or issues other that overeating. Now I feel worse that before. My stomach hurts after every meal. I can;t even enjoy the weight loss because I feel depressed because I just don't feel like myself. I hate eating because I never know what to expect. I hope this gets better. My family is starting to worry about me.
