Oh no :-( Stuff like that scares me. But I will tell you this, I can't wait for October! I'll be able to eat something!
  2. Today a new anxiety begins.... Now I think I am not emptying out my stomach and I'm over-drinking my liquids. I've peed maybe 3 times today. I don't feel the "full" feeling people talk about. I do measure my liquids, broths, etc... I feel like I'm doing something wrong and stretching my pouch. ~Sincerely, Overthinker.

Thank you :-) Well, I dumped with liquids but because my meds were getting stuck....then it happened to me once more. I didn't feel full and it just came out. I'm testing myself with broth and it's going good. It's nice to taste "food" even if it's only broth. I'm thinking of ordering myself miso soup later today. I bought some stage1 baby food. Bananas. I had cream of potato last night. Am I not supposed to eat stuff like this yet? My papers say one thing, my nurse said another (and also told me 64oz of liquids but I know I'm not even close to that). I can't throw in my flag but I feel like I want to :-(

I'm just confused with my ounces of liquid. I drink too much then hold off on drinking and I think I'm just doing my body damage.

Well I sometimes forget that I just had my 3-4 oz of liquid in my 5-15 minute time and I guess it's habit for me to keep sipping. I think I was waiting to feel this horrible urge to dump if I was too full and I never feel that way. I read, hear and wait for it to happen to me.... This is my second week. What were you drinking and eating? I don't care too much for protein drinks. This morning I woke up with pain in my left leg. I think it may be a sign of dehydration. I am going to get checked today.

    Really Freaked Out

I'm only a week into my surgery and freaked out myself, so I don't know how much help I will be. Are you limiting the amount of juices? I'm scared to drink too much juice and have been sticking mostly to water and tea.
  8. When I feel it coming up I tell everyone to watch out! I like to scare them but thankfully it hasn't been bad. I no longer take pills. My issue now is air! I feel like it's going to my heart and it scares me. I don't even know if that's even possible. But it hurts me so bad. I feel the need to burp but I can't. I drink warm tea. Nothing helps. Thank you all for your responses.
  9. Hello friends. I am new. I just had my gastric sleeve on 8/4/14. I know there are issues to be expected but I am still worried. I keep having pain in the esophagus area. In the middle going towards the bottom. It's almost like when I take my sips, it feels like I'm drinking rocks. On my third day I had a bad morning. From 10pm to 8 am I must of had maybe 2 oz of liquids. (I was asleep in between) I then took a sip when I woke up to maybe relieve the pain and nausea. After about 15 minutes, I puked. What scared me is the amount that came out! Luckily I was holding my "dumping tray" and there was about a cup of liquid. Thick and it tasted like aspirin. I freaked out and though I screwed up my pouch with all of this. But keep in mind, I had about 2 oz and a sip between 10 hours. Still makes no sense to me. I called my nurse and we did go through everything and she suggested I take an antacid. Then something clicked... I have been taking 3 pills. Metformin, Norco & my B12. I came to the conclusion that maybe the pills were not going down, getting stuck and irritating the esophagus. Ok...next day I changed to the melt tabs and I completely crushed the others in water (yuck). Day 4 went a little better and today about the same. I still have the pain at times (but not as bad) and nausea. I still feel like my air is trying to come out and at times sipping my "rocks". I feel like such a dumb ass even asking but I know this is what I need. To ask! Did anyone ever have these issues? Thank you.
  10. I've never heard of that but I will ask them next week. Thank you! Maybe that will help!
