I had my lap band with Dr Lopez Corvala at Hospital Angeles about 8-9 years ago. Now I'm getting ready to get the sleeve with him. The hospital is amazing. The nursing staff is awesome. Now they even have English-Spanish-English translators in-site. The whole medical team is local. I get to have psychological and nutritional support. The Drs and the case manager is always there to help. I can reach them via skype, FB, messenger, telephone. What I most like is that I always feel they are there for me. Dr Lopez is just awesome. I feel I had the best care during my lap band surgery, and I am 100% sure I will only repeat the great experience once I have my sleeve. I'm so excited:) I'm still saving and am only a few $100's away from making my dream a reality!!!

Will you be staying in a private room in a hospital the whole stay, or will they be sending you to recover in some hotel room? Make sure you get everything squared out, or you might be paying way more that what you think in terms of complications, etc. Just trying to help:) Wish you luck

The drain is usually placed while you're under anesthesia, so you don't feel when its being placed. When it is removed, you just have to take a deep breathe right before the dr/nurse pulls it out, and its over:) At least that is how it was with mine in past surgeries:) Wish you luck
