  1. okay I completely understudy what you're feeling. It is very frustrating we are all her for support. Send me messages anytime I will do whatever o can to help. My man definitely didn't want me to have surgery because it was so permanent. Now, he's on board and very supportive. I'm 12wks post-op. Trust me based on some of the comments said he didn't want me to do the surgery. But it went well and is great! Good luck. Talk to me anytime
  2. Don't get me wrong, losing 30lbs in 11 weeks is great! And something I was not able to accomplish prior to surgery. It had taken me 10mo to lose 50lbs via Weight Watchers. Comparing (which I know we're not supposed to do) myself to others on this forum, my weight loss is slow. And in my mind, for some reason, I was expecting to lose at least 4lbs a week. I am very thankful for this surgery though. Just really hard on myself sometimes.
  3. Hi all! I'm happy to see this thread. Tmrw will be 11wks post op for me. Directly after surgery I never felt hungry and was so happy about that. I was hoping this would be the "norm"....then about 5-6 days post op, I felt like I was starving. The 2nd week post op, I was allowed soft foods. It took about 3days for the "starving" feeling to pass. Now, I have days when I'm not that hungry and then others when I'm hungry no matter how much protein or water I get. And I feel lucky that I can eat more than 4 bites of something. Although my weight loss is soooo much slower than others. I've lost 30lbs so far. I have to say, while I do miss eating large quantities of feel (I know, crazy right? Lol) I am extremely happy I made this decision. I wouldn't change if for anything. Good luck to everyone :):)

  5. I'm happy to hear you had no issues. They weren't very attentive.... Seemed like they were understaffed while I was there. But I never heard the trash truck.
  6. I had mine done at Des Peres too. Dr. Minkin was my surgeon. How do you feel about the nurses and assistants that were staffed in the evening? Congrats! You're on your way

  15. When do we start posting on here? From what I can tell, we all weigh in on Fridays and post our stats. Is this correct?
  16. Hi! I had my surgery on July 23rd as well. I lost 4.5lbs 3 days prior because of the liquid diet. Gained 6lbs in the hospital. Pre-op 221. Post surgery HW 223. Pre-SW was 216. CW 203. Ok, so I lost the first 11lbs within 4 days post surgery. For the last 4 wks I've lost 9lbs. I consulted with my NUT and she recommend I up my calories to 1000 from my now 800. Because maybe my body thinks I'm starving it. Because the weight loss should be more than 9lbs a month (on average) I totally understand your frustrations. Hang in there. We can do this together <3 Stacy
  17. Welcome! You have definitely come to the right place. Lots of support and encouragement here
  18. Congrats! I can definitely see a huge difference. Great job!!!!!!
  19. Hi all! The isopure is absolutely disgusting!!!!! I tried the grape frost and the alpine punch. They were awful!!!! I am sending mine back. I tried the Unjury strawberry sorbet and I hate it. I've heard so many positive things about Unjury though. I do like the premier protein. I've only tried vanilla. Going to try the chocolate and strawberry soon.
