Please let me clarify.....when I said I'd like to compare age, height and stats it was for an overall reassurance that someone of my height and weight was able to get to a weight that I'd be happy with. Seeing someone else succeed encourages me more than anything else. I do not plan to weigh except once a month. The scale has never been my friend and it will only discourage me if I weigh too often. I am just happy hearing of the possibilities. I am actually 5'1.5" and will be thrilled if I manage to get to 150 pds. again. I see many others close to my height that have achieved that goal and that is what I am looking for. I would be thrilled to reach 150 pds. but maybe I could hope for 140 pds. with my sleeve! We shall see...

Please! I am scheduled to be sleeved September 17, 2014. I am a worrier even though I am excited. The main thing that keeps me going and puts a lot of negative thoughts out of my head is reading everyone's stories especially their post surgery stats...... Please...I know it helps others reading this too. I would like to know your height. ....age (optional), presurgery weight, day of surgery weight, 1st month weight loss, 2nd month weight loss, etc. and then total weight loss and total number of months it took to reach the total loss. Before and after pics would be nice if you'd be willing to share. I know a lot of pre-sleevers like me would really appreciate this information so that we can compare ourselves to someone with similar stats...I am only 5'1" and starting at 218 pds. before presurgery liquid diet and am 48 yrs. old. Any and all stats are helpful. Thanks so very much for any and all responses that are shared....

I am booked in TJ Mexico for surgery on September 17. I have already booked our flights. My hubby will be going with me for moral support as he has a perfect physique. I am excited but very nervous too! Crossing my fingers and praying that all goes well and this surgery puts me on the right path to a healthier and certainly lighter me.

I would love to meet up with you anyway later in the week maybe. I just emailed my health questionaire to Janese and put September 16 as my surgery date by accident. That was the day I wanted to fly out but I am not as time limited as you. I understand how long hours at a job could make this surgery difficult. ...my hat's off to you! I was a nurse and worked 2 jobs over 60 hrs a week for many years til I hurt my back. Broke it in 2 places so I can't get around like I used to but the drastic weight gain in the past 3 years has created a whole new list of pains and difficulties. Right now my job is watching my 4 week old grand baby while my daughter works....but I really do not want to have surgery on a Monday for many reasons...I guess Tuesday will be ok. I hope to see you in Tijuana, Cody's mom! I hope to make many new friends during my trip...I truly love people! Guess that's why I'm a nurse. If this surgery helps me lose weight it may help my back enough to go back to work and that would be truly life changing!

Hi, Cody ' s mom! I am waiting to hear back from ALM to ask questions but I am planning on booking my date this coming Monday for September 18. That would be surgery on Thursday and home by Sunday. Would love to have someone to talk to and shop with while in Mexico.

I am looking to see if anyone is interested in booking their surgery with A Lighter Me and Dr. Ortiz in TJ Mexico in September so we could meet up at the hotel and won't be alone the whole time. I am looking to book anywhere from September 12 through September 26. I am leaning towards September 17 or 18. Is anyone considering those dates and would like to meet at the hotel so we will navigate this trip together or sort of? Please let me know...thanks!
