  1. I took the pain Meds for the first 8 days and then started to take Tylenol. I definitely had a lot of pain too especially around the port. I promise you it will subside!!! Continue to get up and walk around and using a heating pad helps a TON! If in doubt of your pain level you can always call your Dr's office and speak to a nurse who should put you at ease. Feel better!
  2. I've now gone from a size 22 to size 14/16 and I had my surgery 2 months ago today. It's even more crazy because I've only lost 15 pounds so far but I'm losing sizes/inches!!!
  3. I like Boston Market. They have a pretty healthy menu and sometimes I'll get a container of Hot and Sour Soup...just keeping in mind the sodium.
  4. I'm a yogurt girl too. Or a slim fast shake (Cappuccino Delight!)
  5. Got my first fill of 4CCs and so far so good...only stuck once...going for second fill on 11/13 and trying to journal everything and get more active. This is certainly a journey.
  6. I'm in Florida without a scale on vacation. Will weigh later in the week when I get back!!!
  7. PS- I ate a full meal today chewing well with tiny pieces WITHOUT getting stuck or throwing up! Thank you, thank you!!!!
  8. I know putting down a fork is so hard! All new eating habits! I definitely know there is inflammation from repeat stuck episodes. Thanks for your responses.
  9. Thanks it makes me feel better to know I'm not alone. I will try my best to stop the moment I feel I may be getting stuck and be sure to take tinier bites and chew more. I'll be seeing my surgeon next week to discuss further. I'm still unfilled.
  10. I'm 6 weeks post op and have generally been tolerating things well however I have had a tendency to get things stuck. In the past 48 hours anything starchy I eat is coming back up. I have been able to keep a few meals down and all liquids stay down. I do tend not to wait a full half hour before I eat to stop drinking and I have used straws. I know I need to stop. If anyone has any experience with getting stuck or throwing up I'd like to hear it. I know this is all a learning process. I'm seeing the doctor on Thursday to discuss having my first fill and right now I'm wondering if I could tolerate my band being smaller considering I'm getting stuck and such as is...
  11. If you want feel free to PM me. I was banded several weeks after you and dealing with the same issues

  16. The first 8 days I took the pain Meds which I think is a little more than usual, but I was having a lot of pain by the port. The gas was not really an issue for me however. And I had no nausea whatsoever. I think it's definitely a case by case thing. Good luck!!!!!!
  17. I'm not sure. I'm guessing it's the healing period. I have The Realize Band. I've lost 12 pounds and my surgery was two weeks ago so I'm still going down though. But he said 6 weeks to 6 months. Just hoping I don't have to wait that long for a fill!!
  18. All great feedback
  19. I also use MFP, its great! Wow 22,000!!!!
