Medicaid in NC does NOT cover VSG

I have been told by a representative at Medicaid that Medicaid NC does not cover VSG. However, they do cover lapband, RNY and DS.

Anyone else here in NC really wanted the VSG and found out it is not covered by Medicaid? I was really set on having a sleeve.

Exercise Physiologist
Part of my pre-op requirement is to meet with an exercise physiologist. However, I am on a very tight budget. I am on disability due to kidney failure. The fee for the exercise physiologist is $125.00 for the first visit. Is there anyway I can get around paying this?
