  1. How long did you have pain after surgery? Did you treat your pain with prescriptions or over-the-counter and for how long? I ask because I am 11 days post-op and still having quite significant pain. I am trying to stop the prescription meds with little luck. I am almost out and my dr. seems reluctant to give me more. I have pain when I try to bend down and when I try to lay on either of my sides. I currently sleep in a recliner and I miss my bed. I also get random, painful stomach spasms. Thank you for any replies!
  2. Hello Everyone, I had my sleeve surgery on Friday the 3rd. I was in the hospital until the 6th and was told that my surgery was completely uneventful. I'm feeling a little better than I did in the couple of days following surgery but I am still having some spasms. I am also still relying on the pain medication more than I thought I would be 5 days out. I'm on a full liquid diet. I haven't had much trouble keeping down the liquids but I can only drink a very small amount at a time. I can't wait to get a little further from the painful part and on to weight loss and more energy!
  3. I was supposed to have mine on November 12th but I called once a week to check for cancellations and now I am scheduled for October 3rd. I would ask to be put on the waiting list if there is one. Good luck!
  4. I am having mine this Friday the 3rd. I am also very excited and a little nervous. Mostly, I can't wait take this step in my journey. Good luck to you on Wednesday!
  5. Hi Everyone! My surgery has been moved from November 12th to this Friday, October 3rd. I am 5 days into my 10 day liquid fast. It hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be. I am getting a little sick of Protein Shakes but I only have a few days left to go. I am so excited to finally be at this point in my journey which began over 9 months ago! Good luck to all of you and I would love to keep in touch with fellow Octobers!
  6. I was supposed to do 14 days of Protein shakes and clear liquid only but I got a call asking if I wanted to move up my surgery. I am now on day 5 of 10 days of 4 protein shakes per day and no food. Honestly, it's not as hard as I thought it would be. I do make dinner for my family and the smells make me a little hungry but I try to plan my shakes as I cook. The only thing that I have noticed is that I am really tired. If I sit, I fall asleep. Can't wait until Friday!
  7. Thank you for sharing! My surgery is on Friday and I can hardly wait to kick off this new journey!
  8. I am currently waiting on insurance approval for gastric sleeve surgery. For those of you who have lost weight, have you noticed a great increase in energy?
