  8. Hi everyone. I have been reading the boards for about a week and thought it was time to jump in. My name is Eileen and I will be having the VSG on November 12. My surgeon is Dr. Harish Kakkilaya from Woodstown/Salem in South Jersey. He comes highly recommended and I have had good interactions with him and his office staff from the beginning. I have had most of my pre-op requirements completed. I go tomorrow for an echocardiogram and next week for a stress test (pre-existing heart condition). They discovered a hiatal hernia during the upper GI, so Dr. K will fix that when he does the VSG. I still have to schedule a psych eval but the dr I want to see has been on vacation. Insurance has approved the operation. My main goal is to put my diabetes and hypertension in remission.
