  1. Oh no. Sorry to hear it affected you that way. Feel better and keep us posted.
  2. Good luck! What hospital I'm the Cities are you going to?
  3. I didn't tell my best friend and was just mentioning to my husband how weird it feels with her not knowing. Only my husband, daughter (adolescent), and a fairly new friend couple (one had rny, other having it in August) know. I haven't told my family either. While it is weird that she doesn't know, it works for me right now. She is not overweight and never sees me as overweight, either, so it would have been a struggle that I wasn't up for. (I do carry my weight well). At this time I never plan on telling anyone, although from reading others experiences here, I might. It is a hard decision who to share this experience with. Try to weigh the pros/cons on the effect it might have on your relationship with your best friend.
  4. You guys are cracking me up!! I, too was at 40, just barely. No co-morbidities. I realized that they made me slightly taller than I actually was. Go figure! So...Make sure you slouch.
  5. Congratulations! It is great to see the results of al of your hard work!
  6. In addition to the ones mentioned, I like the Hunger Games; so cute, so true!
  7. Here's to your September date, Moose!
  8. Because Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo gets no respect...and rightfully so! Just paying homage to horrific movies of my childhood.
  9. Great to hear, Crystalis!
  10. My surgery was on July 14th. I went back to work after a week. I didn't really have an issue with the exception of a little fatigue (and slight pain from my bra sitting on one of my incisions). Make sure you get your walking in, though, you don't want to have blood clots leading to a PE or DVT.
  11. Congratulations!
  12. Congrats, Alicia! Seven days post-op and still can't believe it.
  13. I am in the Twin Cities, too! Looking forward to the next get-together.
  14. I was banded on July 14th. I am so happy to find this group!
  15. I was banded on July 14th, too. Just taking it one day at a time! I am having some pain and GI discomfort, but it is much better than Monday.
