Thanks lab walker! I'm eating again both good and yes bad. I keep waiting for that horrible feeling when I eat then I remember I don't have the band. I need to limit my food intake. I want to eat now:(

Best of luck to you! I had my band removed and my doctor said I needed to wait at least 6 months before my sleeve to let my insides adjust. I had A LOT of scar tissue. I've read that band to sleeve don't loose as quickly but we do loose. We just need to let everything heal first.

My band is out! Feeling much better! It was taken out on 8/7 in Mexico by Guillermo Alvarez. Best experience ever!!! He said i had a lot scar tissues which he removed and that I needed to wait at least 6 months for healing in order to get the sleeve. It's a great relief having it out. I don't regret getting it but I do regret waiting to get it removed so long. So much damage it caused . Liquids for a few days then slowly move into soft and then regular food.

I just had mine out 8/7/14 in Mexico by Guillermo Alvarez and I feel great of course sore but better I wish you the best.

Get it out! I had those problems and more and it's just torture. I had mine removed and I wish I had it removed it 5 years ago. They don't go away but get worse. Sorry to hear of your struggle.

After dealing with so many issues my band was removed in Mexico by Guillermo Alvarez ( best in the world). I'm less then 24 hours out and my body feels so relieved Guillermo Alvarez said I should wait at least 6 months before getting the sleeve because all the damage the band did to my stomach it needs to heal. I'm a self pay so I'll start cutting corners and save up and hopefully by May of 2015 I'll be sleeved. by Guillermo Alvarez. I can't say enough about the care here with Guillermo Alvarez and his team. They truly care about you as a person. I travelled with two other people getting the sleeve and the say the same thing about the fantastic care here. I'm so happy that little lapband monster is out of me!

I'm nervous but can't wait to be free. I'm a self pay so the sleeve will be next. I want time for my body to heal and adjust to not being banded before the sleeve is done. Aug. 7th is the removal date.

I was banded in 2007 in the USA. Struggled the entire process. Acid reflux, burping, not being able to keep anything down even will 2cc in my band. I'm traveling to Mexico to get it removed on Aug. 7th by Dr. Alvarez. Has anyone had any experience with Dr. Alvarez? Has anyone had their band removed and felt like a failure? I hope to get a sleeve in a few months!
