  7. I was having that problem. My surgeon said it was probably just me not tolerating my protein shakes well but wanted me to get checked out anyways. Turned out I had an infection in my colon. He put me on some antibiotics and it got way better in a few days. Best to talk to your surgeon and be safe.
  8. I dreamed I was at Jack in the Box eating tacos! I was relieved when I woke up!
  9. I am able to tolerate the refried beans well. I thin them with a little FF milk
  10. Yesterday was my first day. I had an egg for breakfast and some Greek yogurt at lunch then a teaspoon of peanut butter for a snack later but the peanut butter made me feel a little sick too. I would love to hear some ideas on this phase too. I'm anxious to eat but a little nervous.
  11. Gets better everyday and a lot better after the first week. I also am glad to hear about everyone's liquid intake as I am 10 days out too and can only get about 40 oz and have been worried about it.
  12. I think we go through a lot of emotional changes with this surgery. Somedays we may feel depressed, its a huge lifestyle change and we can't use food for comfort any longer. I've met a lot of nice people at the support group and I think losing weight and being more active may make make a lot of us more social in the long run. Maybe you should try a support group just to get out with people who are going through this too.
  13. I had mine one week ago today and I am feeling much better everyday. I went out and did some shopping today. First 3 or 4 days were a Lil rough and I felt tired but feeling good now
  14. My doc let me take chewable Pepcid and it helped alot
  15. Had mine Tuesday. Gets a little better everyday. Hang in there
  16. I feel ya. Last night was my first night home too. Had to take pain meds about 6am. I agree recliners much better. It's going to get better everyday from here out though
  17. Best wishes tomorrow. Yes only one night for me. I was fortunate.
  18. I was very nervous too but I did it yesterday and I'm back home today. You can do it. Lots of prayers coming your way
  19. Back home now. Thanks to everyone for all the helpful post on here. I used my gas strips, ChapStick and pillow for the ride home. Wouldn't have thought of it if it wasn't for this site. Best wishes to all!
