I hope I don't gross anyone out so you have been warned!! For the past few days I have had this THICK saliva in my mouth. It is so bad that I have a trash can beside me just so I cant spit it out. I can't swallow as it feels weird going down and I feel full afterwards. Anyone else dealing with this?

I have been enjoying greek yogurt, and warm tea. I dont feel full but do know when i need to slow down drinking/eating and when i need to wait until "pearl" (my stomach) finishes getting rid of the food she is working on. I have noticed since i have been drinking warm tea ALL day that i actually feel normal.

@aloudwhisper...i seriously doubt they would allow u to use your own gas meds. My gas pains were so bad, I didnt bother to ask and just pop them in my mouth but made sure they dissolved completely before i swallowed.

I was sleeved on 9/3. Discharged on 9/5. The only thing i needed out of my bag were, chapstick, gas x strips, tooth brush and toothe paste, scrunchy to keep my hair back, a maxi dress that i wore to the hospital, flip flops and my cell phone with charger! Thats all i used out of my bag.

@tiffdmill. Yes, i am feeling hungry also. I cant drink the protein shakes just yet but and trying to get atleast 48oz of water in. I have being enjoying my sugar free popcicles, jello, and pudding. I have stopped taking pain meds and nausea meds today. I get exhausted doing simple task. I am still tired alot and i do sleep alot. Now, if i could only have a bowel movement!

Also is anyone experiencing a strange sensation in your stomach after you sip on fluid? I pray that the feeling will be unnoticable in the future!

I still have the annoying cough. My surgeon said it was becuz they used a tube down my throat and collasped my lung to perform the surgery. It has gotten better each day.

I had itchness on face and arms. I think it was because of the baf reaction i had to diluated. If i can get all of this gas out of my system, i would feel sore but okay! Im taking small sipes of crystal light but no protein shakes right now. I just want to stay hydrated.

I am still in the hospital. Planning to leave sometime today. Nausea and pain was HORRIBLE the last 2 days. Im feeling much better now. Incision sites are not painful anymore. i am dealing with the gas they used to inflate me. Im waiting for nature to take its course!

Surgery tomorrow at 730am!

I will keep you posted. Reading everyones post has given me the courage to do this.....I cant wait!

Hi everyone. My surgery has been moved from 9/10 to 9/3. I am so excited. Oddly, i am not nervous at all. I finally told my mom-again but let her know that i did not want to hear her opinion about decision something i am doing for myself. I can tell she did not approve but she kept her opinion to herself. I am not going to tell anyone else.

I told 3 people, my boss, my mom, and my son. My boss totally supports me but my mom has been very jugemental about the surgery. She probably thinks i have changed my mind because i dont talk about it. I just dont want to deal with anyones opinion on a decision i have already made for myself. I am wondering if anyone drove themselves home after being discharged?
