  1. My aunt was a huge coffee drinker before and after surgery. When her weight loss stalled her surgeon explained to her that the caffeine in coffee can actually stimulate hunger. Since she switched to decaf her weight loss resumed for the better. I'm not sure how accurate this was but I thought I'd share anyways in case some of you are experiencing this stall.
  2. So I just had my sleeve on 7/9/14 and am considered 2 days post-op. I've been experiencing sharp gas pains that come and go, body aches, and 2 incisions that held my drain an the other one which contained the most work. I'm having issues drinking for I haven't felt hungry at all. Ready for this swelling to go down. Trying to look forward to the better healthier future... Just ready for this first week to me over. Tomorrow I start adding puréed foods to my diet and am fairly concerned.
  3. I just got my sleeve done on Wednesday the 9th. Technically I'm considered two days post-op. I'm having some pretty sharp gas pains even when I do the gas-x strips. Almost Every time I drink some water I burp. Plus I'm also having body aches. My incisions are slightly sore but it's mainly the one that had the drain and my biggest incision? Hope all these are normal. Didn't realize how wonderful dilaudid was until I'm taking a lortab elixir.
