  1. I had my operation on June 26th. I would love to have others to talk with about my journey that were close to my same date. I'm in the pureed food stage right now. My first 2 weeks I lost a lot of weight really fast and now I'm in a stall, but I can tell I'm still loosing inches. I'm finding that I get full so fast and I'm not able to eat much and them I'm hungry again not far after I had eaten. I'm having a hard time getting all my liquids in and trying to get my Protein in as well. I have fibromyalsia and since this surgery I've felt the best I have in a over a year. Tons of energy, my nerve pain is now only about 20%. With so much energy I'm finding that I'm struggling going to sleep at night. My sense of smell ever since the surgery has been very heightened not sure why though. Looking forward to journey!!!

  5. I really look forward to everyone's post. I've finally came out of my 2 week stall and I'm now down 36 pounds. I got on the scale and literally lost 11 pounds just like that. I could tell I was loosing inches but the scale wasn't moving or if it did it was a pound a week. My advice to everyone, is keep on truckin, stay the course and the weight will fall off. I wanted to give an update on my journey with my Fibromyalgia as well. I've been walking almost everyday for 30 minutes or so, or when I can doing exercises in the pool. My fibromyalgia has acted up a little, but I'm thinking its because I'm finally able to give my body some exercise and its just sore and not used to the exercise I'm giving it. I figure a little bit of pain in my feet and legs is worth feeling great and losing weight. I've still been really tired, but I try to get a good nights sleep each night, but I find its hard to fall asleep because I'm so antzy. Please add me to the Facebook group: Stephanie Kjerstad
  6. To Steph 0315: i'm definitely not overeating, I barely take 2-3 bites and I'm full. Liquid and fluids are the only things going down well. I'm thinking my stomach is bothering me cuz my stomach is getting used to the switch up. I'm getting ready to start walking for about 45 minutes to an hour. Start working some of this off, the only concern I have is if I will have enough energy to walk that long, since I'm in the alway's tired stage. Will be interesting.
  7. I'm in the pureed food stage right now. I'm experiencing an upset stomach. Anyone else having a hard time adjusting to moving from liquids to pureed foods? I feel sick to my stomach most of the day now.
  8. I'm not sure how we can setup a June Sleevers Private Blog. Thats a great idea.
  9. My understanding from reading other comments about the Stall is that it's our bodies way of recovering from the dramatic weight loss and change and that stalls will become normal and we just have to keep focused. When the stalls end I guess the weight starts coming off rapidly again. During the stalls though I've read that we should still be loosing inches, which I can tell I am just by how my clothes are fitting me. I'm trying to have my Protein first before anything else I eat to see if that makes a difference, but still haven't notice the stall end yet. I get full so fast and then just like everyone else I'm hungry again. Besides the stall that is the only other frustrating thing. I try to fill up on a Protein shake but that also still only keeps me satiated for about 45 minutes to an hour depending.
  10. It looks like the stall is going to become a normal part of this new lifestyle. I just wish my dietitian had told me about stalls or my doctor. It's great to have this forum to discuss with everyone. I was told to just walk 15 minutes a day for right now and then work up, but it looks like from other's post that I definitely can be getting in more walking which I'm going to start doing right away. Thanks for the great info everyone! Look forward to learning more with all of you on our new journey's
  11. I had my surgery on 6/26/14 and I'm now just transitioning into phase 3 for pureed foods. I was loosing weight every single day since the surgery of at least 1-2 pounds. Now the last 4 days I haven't lost anything. Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced this. Just worried that I'm doing something wrong. I've been following the diet to a T ,so I'm wondering why all of a sudden I'm already at a stall. Any advice anyone can give me would be great. Thanks
