  1. Good luck to you, Lana. I can't quite believe this is really working. I keep thinking the scale is not going to go down and then it does. Do you have a date for your operation? Liz
  2. I had my surgery on 10/2/07 by Dr. Onopchenko near Atlantic City. I started a liquid diet a week before so using that as my start date I have lost 20.5. I can certainly eat more than 4 ounces at a time right now. I have been eating low fat and low sugar but I eat until I am full which is a lot more than 4 ounces. My first fill is coming up on Veteran's Day. If I'm still losing I am thinking about not getting adjusted until I stop losing. I have NJPlus and I think they only pay for 2 adjustments and I will have to pick up the rest. I think this operation is a wonderful tool. I love that full feeling I get and, at least right now, I am not tempted to eat high calorie. Liz
  3. I had my sleep study before I decided to try for the Lapband so I did not have to wait for that test. I had 2 tests. The second was to find my titration level for the Bi-Pap. Years ago I had been tested and could not tolerate the Cpap. But they knew that and this time I ended up with the Bi-Pap I actually do use. It makes a big difference in how I feel. Check out the ResMed Mirage Swift II Mask and the Respironics BiPapAuto M Series with humidifier. I couldn't bring my machine to the hospital but I brought the mask and tubing and they hooked me up to a machine in the hospital. It worked just fine. You need to supply them with your settings. I was banded lst Tuesday, Oct. 2nd. So far so good. Good kluck. Liz500
