  1. My stall has left the building for now!!!! My doctor explained to me it happens to everyone and at three weeks we may be babying our stomach so much (as our doctors want us to) that the very liquid/soft foods slide through easier and we can eat more. I am positive that wasn't my stall issue but do know that I am hungry immediately after eating certain foods. I have been incorporating many new foods into my diet this week. I even had grilled chicken and a few pieces of lettuce, a cucumber slice and small piece of a tomato yesterday. This morning I had 1 chicken sausage. I am 6.5 weeks out. Best of luck to everyone who is currently experiencing a stall. I think having gone through it that I know next time to be more patient.
  2. I couldn't stand protein shakes, mixes or broth after surgery. The smell turned my stomach. I was advised to so my best and ensure I got in my liquids. I agree we all have different post op procedures.
  3. For purée I blended tuna and low fat mayo, ate low fat ricotta cheese, blended chick peas with water, lemon and some seasoning, mashed a sweet potato and put cinnamon on it but only would eat a very small amount and them there is yogurt. One great trick I am doing now that you can do with puréed food is to take plain greek yogurt and mix in protein powder and/or a little but of PB2(dry low fat peanut butter). You can also eat low fat string cheese, and soft/scrambled eggs.
  4. I was sleeved July 1 and doing well. I lost 10 lbs pre-op and 15 more in the first two weeks. I have been stalled for almost three weeks. I lost 2.5 in the last few days but it is frustrating. I see my Nut and Dr next week and am hoping my stall will be over soon. I think what is frustrating is that I believe I am doing everything right. I haven't even eaten out once. I cook all my food. I must say I was a nervous wreck prior to surgery and feel great this last week and a half just tired due to working long days. I am excited for everyone on their journey! Best of luck.

    1st July Sleevers

Ness, please don't feel bad. We all progress differently. I felt like crap but pushed myself. I think I over did it because late last night and this am I have increased pain. I will be taking it easier today.

    1st July Sleevers

I was sleeved on July 1. I feel lucky that I am doing well. I have a fair amount of energy. I walked the dog, did some light laundry and vacuumed today. I am struggling getting in my protein. Everything turns me off at this point. I am hoping by next week when I start the puréed stage it will be better. My nasuea seems to have gotten better today but still struggling with proteins and even chicken broth. Skim milk and liquids are tolerable. Does anyone know when the burping will end?? I don't burp and this is ridiculous. I am a lady :-) and can not go back to the office burping after every sip. I know waking helps but as mentioned above I think I am doing well on my activity four days post op.

    3 days out of surgery

I am post op three days and having trouble getting down the protein shakes (2 a day) plus liquids. They all make me naseus. It's more me than my stomach. Anyone having similar issue?

    1st July Sleevers

Thanks :-) I unfortunately probably won't be calm until post surgery when I feel my body is 'ok'. I don't care about what I am giving up at this point because I know the gains far outweigh the bad. I wish everyone an easy surgery with a quick recovery????????????.

    1st July Sleevers

I am scheduled for tomorrow, July 1 as well. I am petrified. I am so emotional over the last week. I have done all the prep work including intense therapy and still nervous. I am not even sure what I am most nervous about. Any tips on how to calm down before tomorrow am? I pampered myself all weekend it helped but now it's Monday. On a good note, I am wearing a skirt I haven't worn in months because I lost 10 pounds from my two weeks of the pre-op diet.
