  2. You'll be fine and the outcome makes it worth it, I'm sure. I like your goal, I would love to develop a love for running as well. Good luck

  4. Excited to find an AA gastric thread! Location: Orlando, FL Surgery Date: 6/26/14, 10 days post-op Height: 5'10 HW: 288 lbs SW: 279 lbs CW: 265.2 lbs GW: 153 lbs I'm looking forward to looking outwardly as I feel inwardly and learning how to take care of me instead of hiding by taking care of others. I have a tough time drinking 64 oz of liquid a day so far. My breakfast shake goes well into lunch before I'm finished. Unsweetened applesauce and sugar free Popsicles help take off the pressure and count as fluid, especially in Fl. I wanted to do something special for my 40th birthday, taking control of my weight was it. Kudos to you for making the decision as well, we deserve to be healthy and happy. Claiming the name greyeyedslim, hopefully with the body to match in a few months.
  5. I'm of Carribean decent, and I'm worried about missing my JA food and well seasoned foods forever. Can anyone relate and give some tips how to maintain our diets. Everything good seems to be focused around food and I want to exercise and still be social.

  7. This is my 4th day and I have a bit more energy today. I'm tired of phase 1 liquid only, but l know it's worth it and I'll make it. Sugar free Popsicles are my best friend now. Trying to wean off of the pain meds so I can get around in my own, but it's hard with 6 stab wounds in your abdomen and a G-tube hanging from your tummy. Overall, I'm excited with the changes to come...hope you guys are too
  8. I feel blessed on getting a new lease on life with the gastric bypass surgery, however it hard to come home and the rating habits of my support system had not changed...I'm 3 days post op and trying not to freak out. I'm having difficulty drinking 64 Oz of water, cleaning my G tube and getting my family to eat healthier. Any suggestions?
