  1. I am feeling the same way. I had surgery on June 23rd & am feeling horrible. I don't have pain, but just trying to take a shower, brush my hair & put on clothes is exhausting. I am struggling to eat my protein goals everyday & am spending most of my days just laying around feeling rotten. The weight is coming off but I can't wait for energy to come back. I have all summer to recoup but hope I can enjoy some of the summer:)
  2. I am having the same problem. I am almost 4 weeks out & am starting to find all foods don't taste good or even smell good. I am really struggling with getting in my protein everyday because all the protein shakes tastes pretty bad. Unfortunately, my energy level has tanked because of my lack of protein. I know how bad this is but am really repulsed by all the liquids & puréed foods. If anyone has any tips please let me know!!!!

  6. I am glad to hear of other's struggles but wish we didn't have to struggle at all. I just got sleeved 9 days ago. The drinking liquids is really hard! I am already thinking about what I can eat when I am eating solids. I did this surgery to be healthy again, but I feel like food is already starting to win over. It is all I am thinking about! How did everyone get motivated to do more than just watch tv & eat food. I realized today that those two things take up all my free time. Hobbies I use to do years ago I really am not interested in. I am just wondering if motivation & desire will come back as the weight comes off. I plan to read some books that were mentioned in this thread & I probably need counseling or a local support group.
  7. I just got sleeved on June 23rd at Good Samaritan. I live in Gresham & Emma Patterson performed my surgery. Tho is my first reply or post. Glad to hear from others in Oregon. I am on the liquid diet right now & really struggling. I hope it gets easier cuz all I am doing is thinking about food! The surgery was easy & I haven't had any problems with swallowing but can tell when I have had enough or need to drink slower.
