Yippie! Good for you!!! When I hit a plateau or need to get back on track, I always revert to the "pre-op" diet! It sets my mind back to the beginning!

I don't know what happened to the boobies on the dancing on the piano banana! It's you, so you tell us what happened to the boobies! (these boobies?) I love that Undy 5000! You know, you have to be in pretty good shape to run 5K's! I could never do that! I ran in high school, but haven't since. Sad, huh?

I am so happy happy to see you! :party:That's me in the red dress and the green hat! Not the best outfit, but I was too happy to care! We've all hit plateaus Dear, don't hide from us, come back and let us support you through it. Take it slow. I remember getting full on half of a popsicle and thinking. "oh no! I hope I didn't ruin my band." it's an odd time, we are all so different. But drink drink drink and take it slow. You'll feel better soon! I am happy the surgery went well! YOU My Darling Mal were gone way tooo loooong and because of that you deserve the Naughty Bananas! :tt1: Don't make me send those to you again! I'm glad you're back! I missed you!!!:tt2:(that's me playing you a happy welcome back tune!) (that's you dancing on top of the piano) Where are you doing your water aerobics? I go to Lifetime Fitness. One teacher is excellent and gives us our monies worth, the other doesn't. I have found that water aerobics can either be extremely good as far as a workout or an extreme waste of time, depending upon the instructor. That's why I just swim my laps. The Weekend Morning girl is excellent, however. If you ever want to go with me as my guest, just let me know! :couch2: No more couch potatoes for us! Funny thing happened today. I went by the office to see Natalie. I had told Natalie I WASN'T returning until I was unrecognizable! I'm still recognizable, but I had to drop something off so I just decided to go on in. My last fill was in November and I am still at a very sweet spot! I was there on my 1 year anniversary and didn't get a fill, but that was the last time they saw me. When I walked in the office Dr. K said, "I almost didn't recognize you!" I told him, "you're just saying that because Natalie told you to!" He said, "no, I'm serious." Such a sweet guy! It was fun to see everyone! I can't believe my fill has been so good for so long. (knocking on my wooden head!) - I love my Band! This morning I had 1 egg and a veggie sausage and was satiated for 6 hours! Amazing!

Oh My Goodness Deb!!! You now have to amend your goal! You're almost there!!!! That's insane! I'm so happy for you!!! You have .6 to go and you're at goal! Did you up your protein intake? Wow Julie, I don't know what to tell you! I think it's best to wait and see what the doc says. Keep hydrated and drink your proteins, don't try to push solids in case you are slipped. The liquids are best. Uh oh! Hormones maybe? I love the Premier Nutrition drinks! They are so low in cals and carbs and soooo high in protein! I haven't ever seen them anywhere but Costco. Look online and see if they can find where else you can buy them. Do you think that the french onion soup was too high in sodium? I can't do a lot of soups because of the sodium content. I'm extremely sensitive to sodium! I'm glad you and Deb made it home safely!

Grace! You're a riot! How's the fill doing? How's the butt on ice? How's JL's shoulder? How's Tucker and the other furr babies? I have a lot of questions, don't I? I feel like driving 2 hours to hang out in Estes for 24 mins. Interested?

Oops! I didn't get the "stuff" yet! Shhh, don't tell anyone! LOL!!! GREAT pictures Patty! I am amazed you got that Tunnel pic, I get so nauseated while driving through the Eisenhower Tunnel! It's a bizzarre feeling! Your pics crack me up! What a kick! Deb, you naughty girl!!! Mary, please let me know how the Wii Fit worked out! Thanks again for purchasing it from me! It was great seeing you! Great seeing you again too Julie!!! You look great in the pictures!!! So nice meeting you!!! We really must make that Blackhawk Trip!!! I read that waiting 3 hours after your last bite is a good idea - before going to sleep. Head of bed up is always good advice. Emotions always make me tighter! It's very stressful. Keep us posted!

Anyone looking to lose 300+?
Wow what an inspiration forum! My highest weight was 458. I've lost 151 lbs and I'm 51 days from my 18 month Bandiversary. I'd like to lose 303lbs. So I'm half way there! It's not easy, but it's doable! Becky is a great inspiration! And so are all the others who have been there! Like Dab, I have a lot of varicose veins that have suddenly appeared since losing all of this weight. I guess all the fat had them hidden previously. Has anyone heard if Dad had his varicose veins lasered or not?

You should do fine with the Lo-carb diet. If you don't have GERD, you will find that after 4 days your carb cravings totally leave you! I have done it several times to break my plateau. A Lo-carb diet is the best way to break a plateau. How long do you have to be on the diet?

Patty did get in, by way of some other nearby cities, due to the Tornado! The weather has been in the 50-70's. So bring a light jacket or coat. Patty didn't bring one, so I don't know how she's fairing. We are going to try to go to Estes Park on Wed after I take a nap. We have to be back in time for RR at 1900. Would you like to go with us?

Patty is going to be there on Tuesday, but I am not sure what time. That would be cool to see her there! I haven't been in since my one year bandiversary because my fill is perfection - I miss those folks in the office!

It is a miracle! Congrats! I hope it works for paracelsus51 too! I think a Low Carb/High Protein diet is the worst for long term. It's best for short term to break a plateau or to shrink your liver for Band surgery. Our bodies really need balance. Fruit, veggies, appropriate amount of protein,

I think you'l be happy with your Band and reflux. I had a very irriatating cough. I thought it was my BP meds, but after being banded, I haven't coughed at all. I used to cough constantly at night and all day. I think I probably had reflux. I also haven't had any indigestion. At night, after banding, make sure that you don't eat for 3 hours before bedtime and then drink a glass of water to rinse your upper tummy before going to bed. I read this in a Lap Band book for people to avoid having reflux problems after banding. As long as you're not too tight and not eating late at night (just prior to sleep) you should be okay. My thoughts on a pre-op of tea, coffee, sf popsicle and broth - it is too extreme and makes no nutritional sense. I feel a patient would be in a very weakened state prior to surgery, which is not good. AND it's very hard to stick to - causing people to cheat - causing them to feel bad about themselves.
