  3. So, I'm three weeks out today. Feeling pretty good. Down 16 pounds. How is everyone?
  4. I would check with your doctor first, but Colace is really good. You can buy it off the shelf. I took it with a previous surgery, when I broke my arm and was on pain meds and my sister is taking it because she just had a baby. Seems safe, but check with your doctor first to be on the safe side!
  5. Tell me about it! I never knew how much I missed chewing my food!! Lol!
  6. Am 2 weeks post op with my RNY and I feel like a freaking shut in! My friends invite me out, but 90% of their outings include going out to eat. I can't stand just sitting there and watching other people eat. And there is pretty much nothing I can eat at this point. It's not like I can bring my own food to the restaurant. How do you all deal with this?!
  7. How are you feeling?
  8. I like the RTD Protein Advantage. It has 30g of protein. I have tried the chocolate, vanilla and the strawberries and cream. Chocolate is by far the best. You can buy them in large boxes at SAMs Club.
  9. I agree. I had my RNY on the 14th and I think I feel hungry all the time. So I just put an eat time app on my phone and set it to remind me to eat every 3 hours. I try to measure out my protein drinks, but when I am eating anything else, I can tell when I am done. I'm looking forward to feeling normal again!
  10. Good luck! The actual surgery was the easy part for me. Let me know how you are doing once you are feeling coherent!

  12. Dr Todd did my RNY on July 14th.
  13. Hello there! I live in the Mat-Su Valley. I had my RNY on the 14th. I am also looking for fellow Alaskans to be in contact with. Because there are LOTS of questions to be asked and support is really needed!!
  14. Tomorrow is the big day! Are you excited?!
  15. I think a big part of it was today we had a party with lots of food and snacks. My mashed potatoes didn't cut it! Lol. Eventually I will be able to have some of the foods again, but right now, it isn't easy!
  16. I feel like I'm starving all the time. I had surgery on Monday the 14th. I'm feeling great. But I just feel hungry. I am eating every 3 hours. I eat all kinds of things, protein shakes, cream of wheat, refried beans, creamed soups. Not sure what I am doing wrong!
  17. @ Angel I sit on my bottom all day! Lol! I work up front at a medical office and pretty much talk on the phone and roll around my tiny office in my chair. I probably do more at home than I do at work!
