Well done! I've been banded 8 months and have dropped 4 pants sizes and lost 3 stones! Feels great!

Summer I felt exactly like u did! Hun it gets easier I felt I was more bubbly n people noticed n engaged with me more before I had my surgery! I didn't like the changes at first when I lost the weight coz when I luked at myself in the mirror it wasn't me that I saw and what I was used to seeing as me in my head! But once u see the benefits n feel good bout urself u feel better! Give it time Hun! X all the best. Xxx

No need for dresses with no sleeves or arms! I've been disappointment as I've never been able to wear dresses in the summer with the horrible stretches on my arm but come across a nice website... Sexydresses.com.. Have lovely evening and casual dresses with arms.. Difficult for me to order as it's a American site as I'm in the UK but can get round it! Hope it helps as I understand how frustrating it is getting a lovely dress but with arms. It's all about sleeveless in today's fashion! Hope it helps! Xx

Hi everyone I was banded on the 7th dec 2013. Post n pre surgery was ok and I've lost nearly 3 stone. Have loads of excess skin on my belly but not much elsewhere . Was hoping if anyone experienced having wind all day. Some days are ok but pre surgery I hardly ever passed wind as much as I do now. Jus drink it strange. Also I really want to get a tuck as my nurse sed it's the best time for me to have one if I was to get one. However I'm scared of the length of recovery time as with 3 kids from 2-7 i need to gt back on my feet. Also is there a lot of swelling as I've seen some videos n the patients seem to be swollen massively around their thigh area. I've had two c sections... Wondering if the recovery n procedure is similar to a tummy tuck. Thanks

Omg I felt the same! I had my band dec 2013 n lost 13 kg since n the feeling of being able to cross ur legs is wicked... Plus I have my waistline back n my face is thinner too. Well done Hun!! Enjoy it coz I know I am! X

Hey I had my band in dec 2013 and have lost 2 1-2 stone since. I've been for fill and had saline injected In the incision of where the port is.. However last fill it was injected at another place. Since then I have felt my belly n feel my port as moved from where it was.. Can that happen and if so is it normal??

I dnt understand what is that? I have my next fill in 10 days so will ask. I've been havin bad headaches, neck pain n chest pains so dnt know whether it's related,, I can eat normal but do get that blockage pain if I eat to quick n wrong food but been eatin the right foods.. Jus feel so unwell with the headaches neck pain n chest pains

Is wondering has anyone had any effects of alcohol and smoking after their band? Heard horrific story's of the effects of them with the band but also story's of no effects what so ever...

Thanks so much! Jus u kno when they blow up air in u to do the key hole surgery n that wind pain u get after. That's the bit I can't hack n the back pain associated with it.

Hi everyone been banded since December 2013.. Been having pain on my right side of stomach and bad headaches.. Has anyone has these symptoms and know what it could be?

Thanks miss mac I did google my symptoms nd thAt was the most things that came up. Really worried as I dnt want to go they surgery again. Really pee'd off as I thought my surgeon wud have advised me n have it removed when having the band put in! I hated recovery as it's hard when u have three kids relying on u also. Thought my tummy tuck would be my last surgical procedure to go through in the near future. Have an appointment with my doctor tmro.. Let's c wah happens... Keep u posted and thanks for the reply x

It's scary as I've been banded for 7 months now and have lost 2-1/2 stone. Quite happy but suddenly today morning it dawned on me that I have a foreign object in my body which dnt know how long it can last in my body. Would it corrode?? I'm 29 and thinking will it last thru out my life.. I know I shud have thought of this before surgery but before it's jus about shifting the weight and when uve tried everything and having three children u do whatever u can! Has anyone ever had these thoughts? How have u dealt with them? I've spoken to the nurses at the place I was banded and they've sed there had theirs in for like 10 years no problem. As long u luk after urself it's meant to stay in for life.. :/

Thank you for your reply. I guess that's true however I've heard so many people talk on having problems and they need to have em removed. But follow the rules n there shudnt be a problem I guess. Thanks for taking time to reply it has reassured me.
