  1. Hi all! I've been to my doctor, and she wasn't all that helpful. She said that all of my blood work came back normal, and calcium is fine. So, if it's still acting up in a month I have to go back and she'll take a look again. It could possibly be inflammation from weight shifting(or something about adjusting to a new center of gravity)!

  6. Hi friends! I have a couple questions for the community. I was sleeved on August 14, 2014, so I'm almost 5 months out and 73lbs down. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced stiff joints or joint pain after weight loss. My hips are really bothering me(and have been for about a month), they feel stiff and painful. Has anyone experienced this? If so, are there any Vitamins or supplements that you would recommend to combat this? My doctor says it'll go away, but it's really bothering me. My second question is about cooking! I love to cook; that hasn't diminished since having surgery. Does anyone have any recommendations for healthy cookbooks/blogs about cooking? Thanks for your help!
  7. @@Chynna I'm 6 months into the pre-op program through the Troy Beaumont center!
  8. Hi all! I'm really glad there is going to be a Macomb county group! I just wanted to make sure I'm in the loop!

  12. I live in East Lansing! But I'll be going through Beaumont weight control center because I'm from the east side of the state(Macomb)... I also live off campus at MSU, but I work in the cafeteria as a cook, which is sometimes hard for me.

  15. Hey all! I'm new here, looking for a support group! I'm 5 months into a required 6 month medically supervised weight loss period for gastric sleeve. Currently 20 years old, barely a senior in college... Does anyone have experience with surgery in college? I'm kind of scared that I'll have complications and have to put school on the back burner... Also, any advice for people with tattoos? I'm not sure how tattoos are affected by weight loss, like are they going to migrate? Thanks in advance!
