  1. I agree with what you have stated. it has nothing to do with what GummyTummy is or isnt doing or craving. it isnt about craving. It is about making a LIFE SYLE change and keeping it after the honemoon phase. If you choose to ignore the changes during this and not learn how to change the idea of food in your head, like anything else, one=ce the honeymoon phase is over, the pounds ill come back on. IT WILL HAPPEN. I have seen it in many folks that i have mentored in the last 2 years. Pizza, yeah, I dont deny myself, but I either eat the topings or make my own with caulifour crust. Still only a peice or two depending on size. Chipotle...I never liked it bfore, so i dont eat it now. But for other thins like dorito's.. I do have about 11 chips a week...all in one sitting. then done till next week. I allow myself some of my favorites and I account for them in what else I eat that day. I have almost all cut out out the rice, the potatoes, the bread...cookies, cakes, all the good stuff and exchanged them with other healthy options - or - i have found ways to incorporate my old favs by making them more suited to my new lifestyle. Sugar free cake with added protein powder, Rice noodles to make noodle salads and the dressing mied half greek yogurt, half mayo and a scoop of protein powder... my family cannot taste the difference AND i get what i need. As far as WHEN we can eat these nummyliscous food again, it is 1) based on individual doctors plan and 2) when the individual body is going to handle different foods. For me, burger was a nogo until almost a year out. but chocolate...oh baby, I could do it at 3 months. Chips--with in a month. per my body of course. The docs plan said never. lol I agree with your statements. She (GummyTummy) isnt being helpful.
  2. Great! I look forward to an update!
  3. It was great to meet Linda, Molly, Mary... And I am sorry for the gal I am missing, but we had a great lunch today!
  4. Oct 11, at Perkins... That might be an idea. Would love to meet up with others!
  5. I would love to meet up with new folks on this journey, however, Friday does not work out for me with work...bummer. I am sure there will be more upcoming events to meet you all, enjoy the Starbucks!
  6. Emu, I am uncertain of what all you might have read, but the fact is, depending on the size of bouge used, your baby tummy can only stretch to 70% of the size they cut it down do. If I were to 'stretch' my tummy out, I would maybe get a cup and a half of food in it as that is all the further it could possibly stretch. When you fall off the wagon, its time to get back on. Most I know have gotten a jump start with the 5 day pouch test. others start with going back to basics...liquids, then purees, then soft, then solids over a months time frame. this cleanses your system and gives like a fresh new start without the toxins for you to continue again. I I realize this post is like 3 years old, so I am hoping you figured out what has worked for you...but you newbies...take it from some that have been there. Peace out!

  8. Looks like you are getting a mini workout with your meal! that is awesome!
  9. Mbrine, sorry you experienced that... I remember that stage. Even after 2 years if I don't eat proper, my tiny will still give me heck. I found too much fat or too much carb was moody of my issue, unless of course I simply ate too fast. You will learn what your new tummy will and won't allow. The chewable vitamins are another thing. Some people can handle them while others can only do pills. Me... Nope, nothing for about 3 months. During that period, I drank fuze Slenderize. Doc said 2 bottles a day plus b6 d3 and b12. Funny thing is, even now, I like my Fuze water and take the gummy vitamins (multi And b12). Take time to get to know your new tummy, don't rush you and her have a life time to live together. We have yet it right so it will do good for us! Have a great day and thank you for welcoming me!
  10. Hello MN sleever/ by-pass/ whichever brothers and sisters. I joined bastinado pal a while back but don't get much face time with my personal computer. I see there have been attempts at meeting up. That is awesome! I am interested in meeting up with others. I am almost 2 years out with the sleeve. Best decision ever, regardless of any complications. To date, I have had very limited support to include Dr support due to no insurance. I have had one follow up but the labs were awesome so I must have been doing something right. I can meet up with people almost any where. I live in Anoka, but work in Mpls. After 530 or anytime on weekends. Thanks for reading.
