I live Dudley Ma. having my surgery at UMass memorial - any one else have it done there?

How long did it take from first appt to surgery date? My insurance is easy. I just need to have a BMI of 35+ and one co-morbility and that's exactly what I have... so what should take so long? Any guesses on when I would have surgery (month) I have my first appt with surgeon on July 22. already have doctors letter, blood work done and sleep study records. Thanks for any thoughts and opinions

Oh that makes me feel better. I have been reading some posts where they talk about their liquid medication. No idea. Lol but thanks

Anyone else not able to take liquid medicine? I will vomit every time, there never has been a time where I don't vomit. Any ideas what they can do instead of prescribing liquid meds? I can take pills no problem.

I have been referred by my PCP my first appt is July 24th.

This is what I am afraid of. I have been married 18 years. I have a feeling if I get this surgery done this is what will happen. He already is insecure :/ I pray that's not the case. He is supportive but we shall see

I am just starting this journey and I am learning a lot from everyone so Thank you!! I do find myself having questions as everyone and one of them is regarding "head hunger"... How do you determine the difference between head hunger and real hunger?

Still have them? I want to keep some of mine.. I am a full D right now and after losing weight I am afraid I wont anymore.. Were you able to keep some of yours?

How did you decide what you wanted your goal weight to be? I don't really have a goal weight... I just want to look drop dead gorgeous in a little black dress and not have to wear clothes to try to cover everything.. also a sleeveless shirt and a summer dress... so excited to even think about it!

Now to tell you a little about myself I am 39 Starting weight 215 Height 5'4' BMI is 36.9 with one comorbility sleep apnea My PCP is 100% on board with this, I have tried and tried as you all with no luck with weight-loss/keeping it off. I have BCBS of MA and I am hoping they will be on board also. So excited to start this new chapter.. just hoping it all works out. Trying to stay positive Have a great day everyone...
