  1. i feel the same way! I'm trying to be patient but still want it gone right now!
  2. I went to my 2 weeks follow up today. The Dr. said I am doing great. I've lost 15 pounds since surgery. I just moved to the semi-solid phase for 1 week before going to soft foods next week. I agree that it is nice not to feel hungry all the time. However, my brain is still hard-wired to want more food than 1/4 cup. That will take some time to change.
  3. I was sleeved on June 18 too and I have a doctor visit tomorrow. I am really hoping I can move to soft food! I'm very tired of liquids.
  4. I had the same problem and my doctor told me to take Imodium and add vanilla activia Greek yogurt.
  5. Are you taking a liquid or pill? I'm almost 2 weeks out and bummed about the acid reflux as well. Especially since he fixed a hiatal hernia I was hoping the GERD would finally go away.
  6. I was sleeved on 6/18 and I also just had a BM today too. I was happy it finally happened! I was getting worried. LOL
  7. I was June 18 as well. I am down 12lbs. I also need to walk more. I am committed to going to my gym every day this week. I am very tired of the liquid phase and am glad to be adding some semi-solids on Wed! I am back at work starting today and have to remind myself to get up and stretch. Sitting for a long period makes everything stiff.
  8. Has anyone tried Aloe Vera juice to help soothe the stomach and digestive system? I'm going to the Dr. on Tues and will ask about it.
  9. Don't feel alone. I am 12 days out and I still have issues getting protein shakes down. Everything has to be really thin. Anything thicker feels like it gets stuck. I had a hiatal hernia repair done so it might take longer to heal. Drink more water to help with the "hungry" feeling.
  10. Yeah I've avoided berries too. I'm still in the 2 week liquid phase and banana is not on the list but my stomach is handling it ok
  11. Has anyone tried 1/2 frozen banana puréed in their protein shakes?
  12. I'm also 2 weeks post op liquid. But everyone is different with different instructions from their surgeon. I still have some tightness and pain if I drink too fast or it's to cold. The key is to do what's right for you!
  13. It does get better every day. I am getting bored of liquids as well. It's kinda TMI but I still have diarrhea which I am hoping resolves when I move to soft food next Wed.
  14. @@masonjk38 I hope you feel better soon. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
  15. Hi everyone! I am feeling much better today. Each day gets easier which is good. It's been easier to drink and am getting my protein through the soups and Unjury unflavored. I try a different "shake" each day but so far they all taste chemical. I got a 30 min walk at the gym today and that has helped too.
  16. @@kerweav I am having a very similar experience to yours. I was sleeved on 6/19 also. Pretty much everything you described is what I have been going through and feeling! At least you and I now know we are not alone!!
  17. @@Ginger Snaps. Thanks for thinking of me. On Fri I spiked a fever of 101.4, had problems breathing and was dehydrated. So after a call with the on-call surgeon I went to the ER. They did a CT Scan to rule out leaks, tears, etcetera. They found some pneumonia in my lungs. So I got fluid, antibiotics and some to go. I feel so much better now.
  18. I had issues today getting in all my protein. May need to switch to something different tomorrow.I too have had issues getting enough protein. I bought many different sample sizes of shakes and powders online and in stores before surgery. My solution is to just keep trying them and throwing them away if I don't like it. The best I have found is the health-wise soups mixed with water and several tbls of low-fat cream soups then strained. I have also added Unjury unflavored powder to them and will add it to jello I make.
  19. Hey LivingProof I was sleeved June 18 too.
  20. I was sleeved on June 18th. Dojng ok now. The first 3 days have been rough.
  21. Hi! I was sleeved on Jun 18. I'm doing much better today. It is less painful to get my fluids in. I am making a conscious effort to walk and drink!
  22. Thanks for the encouragement. I'm worried about not drinking enough and now I am running a 99.7 fever. I'm wondering if I should take some liquid Tylenol.
  23. I'm day 2 out of surgery. Tonight I noticed more pain and am running a temp of 99.7. The paperwork the dr gave me says call if temp is over 101. I'm worried. Any body else experience this?
  24. I took the pain med and only took 1/2 but it made me very nauseous and it hurt a lot Just have to power through it!
