  1. Both my husband and I will be attending them.
  2. Thanks for your words of encouragement. I am sure I will look back on this and wonder why was I so nervous.
  3. I am getting very nervous about the surgery. Today the liquid diet was a little rough. I am also afraid of the recovery and surgery more than living with the band. I hope that Thursday will come soon and I can post about how great everything went.
  4. Atenciym: I have also started my liquid diet today. So far so good. Good Luck.
  5. I just had a kidney stone a few days ago. Had surgery to laser it out. I am scheduled to be banded on Thursday. I hope it does not hold up my surgery. I was told I could do the lithotripsy after my lap band to get rid of the stones in my kidneys.
  6. I hope I get the go ahead also. I am getting very nervous. I think because I did not like having the anesthetic on the 7th. But I keep thinking there are so many people that would give anything to have the opportunity to get the lap band and I get to have it. So I try to look to the future and not to the recovery. Going to the store tomorrow to pick up all the liquids and food for the next couple of weeks. Here's to being healthy.
  7. atenciym: Our surgery on Aug 14th, my husband is first case @ 7:30. I am second case @ 9:00. What time is yours? We probably were all at the same nutrition class on Aug 4. I am a bit nervous. I had to have a kidney stone removed on Aug 7th. I did not like going under anesthesia. I have not had surgery for over 24 years. But I told my husband I did it, I lived through it and I know the surgery is for all the right reasons. Now I have to hope that I am cleared to still have surgery on Aug 14th. The urologist and PCP say it's okay but Dr Metz wants to make sure I don't spike a fever or feel 100%. If so I will have to postpone it for a week or two.
  8. Thanks for all of your suggestions. I am glad to hear I will be able to eat other things later on.
  9. I just had my nutrition class and I am scared. It seems that my only choice will be chicken or fish. I hate fish. I don't like anything that swims. Will one day I get to eat red meat and pork. Is there anyone else out there that doesn't like fish. What did you do?
  10. Both my husband and I are being banded Aug 14th. You will have to let me know how it goes doing the surgeries together.
  11. I would be interested in a meet up group. I get banded on Aug 14th and plan to attend P/SL support group.
  12. My husband and I are being banded by him August 14th. I liked Dr Metz. I think he is quite knowlegable and I have no worries about him being able to do a great job.
  13. My husband and I are both scheduled to be banded on Aug 14th. I am excited and a little nervous at the same time.
